The Dust-Sealed Vault was the Blood Hand Society's most important location. After all, all the treasures the Blood Hand Society had collected over the years were stored here, so the defenses of the Dust-Sealed Vault were naturally the strongest.
If we looked at the combat power distribution, the outer layer of Blood Hand Society NPCs accounted for at most forty percent of the total combat power, while the remaining sixty percent was comprised of the nine massive steel robots standing before them.
The combat power of just nine guards could surpass that of thousands of NPCs. One could imagine how formidable they were.
Mechanical Guardian, Lord-rank, Level 30, HP: 1.5 million.
Mechanical Slaughterer, High Lord-rank, Level 50, HP: 9 million.
Everyone felt a chill just looking at these pitch-black steel giants gleaming with cold light from afar. Lord-rank monsters were boss-level entities in team dungeons. Though their HP was thinner than same-level dungeon bosses, their attack and defense were considerably stronger—at the same level, they were far more dangerous than dungeon bosses, and couldn't be easily handled by just a dozen or so players.
As for the High Lord-rank Mechanical Slaughterer, that kind of boss would only appear in a 20-person dungeon at Hell Difficulty. Normally, it was a boss that showed up only in 50-person Hard Difficulty dungeons. And this was a Level 50 Lord-rank on top of that—taking it down with Level 20 players was simply impossible. The level suppression alone was enough to leave players completely helpless. Even if the Mechanical Slaughterer didn't fight back and just let
"Our combat power might not be enough?" Shui Se Qiang Wei assessed the situation and arrived at a helpless conclusion.
Dealing with a single Mechanical Guardian would require at least forty to fifty Level 30 players, and there were eight of them here. That meant a minimum of around four hundred Level 30 players.
As for the Mechanical Slaughterer, that went without saying. Under normal circumstances, it would take two to three hundred first-tier Level 50 players. It was far beyond what they could handle.
And if all these monsters attacked together, their combat power wouldn't amount to a thing.
Shi Feng surveyed his surroundings.
The chamber was filled with numerous iron pillars, all of them unbreakable. Mechanical monsters all shared one weakness: despite their extremely high magic resistance and defense, and their devastating attack power—even a single hit from a Mechanical Guardian would kill the main tank Ke Le—these mechanical monsters were slow in movement. Their attack speed was also sluggish, and their massive bodies made it impossible for them to maneuver easily between the thick iron pillars.
An idea immediately formed in Shi Feng's mind.
"Huo Wu and the rest of you—take these Intermediate
Shi Feng produced a pile of Intermediate Frost Grenades and distributed them to Huo Wu and seven others with fast movement speed.
The effectiveness of Frost Grenades went without saying, especially in team battles. After the clash with Xiong Ba Tian Xia, he'd had Shui Se Qiang Wei purchase quite a few more from Black Wing City.
However, Intermediate Frost Grenades hadn't been bought in large quantities.
An Intermediate Frost Grenade could deal 800 frost damage to targets below Level 70, freeze them for 5 seconds, then slow them by 60% for 12 seconds. But each one cost 10 silver coins—not cheap at all. Only 200 had been purchased, and even that cost 20 gold coins, making Shui Se Qiang Wei's heart ache. But she knew these items were extremely useful, and no matter how expensive, they needed to have some on hand.
But right now, there was no time to worry about the cost. Relying only on the guards' slowing and restraining skills wasn't enough to fully hold these mechanical monsters at bay.
Shi Feng then assigned each person their tasks and duties one by one.
The main strategy was to circle around those iron pillars, seizing opportunities to pick off these sluggish mechanical monsters. But the main damage output would come from Shi Feng's guards.
"Move out!"
At Shi Feng's command, everyone sprang into action. First, Huo Wu and the others lured the Mechanical Guardians away one by one. Then Shi Feng charged forward. At a range of 40 yards, he hurled a Blazing Fire Star—a streak of fire flew in an instant and struck the massive Mechanical Slaughterer dead-on.
Clang!
A damage value of -2 appeared above the Mechanical Slaughterer's head.
Shi Feng couldn't help but smile bitterly at the sight.
This was what futility truly looked like.
Facing the Mechanical Slaughterer's 9 million HP, 2 points of damage was less than a mosquito bite. With a combat recovery rate of 1% HP every 5 seconds, the Mechanical Slaughterer healed 90,000 HP every 5 seconds…
But his purpose had been achieved.
The Mechanical Slaughterer's dim eyes suddenly flared with red light. It drew the jagged greatsword from its back and began advancing toward Shi Feng, step by step. Though the pace seemed slow, with its massive body, a single step covered over ten yards—not slow at all compared to an ordinary player.
As it drew near, the Mechanical Slaughterer actually displayed a human-like contemptuous sneer. This surprised Shi Feng slightly—he hadn't expected mechanical monsters to possess such high intelligence. It was something he'd never seen before. Generally, only high-level NPCs exhibited such expressions.
"Then come after me. Let's see if you can take me down."
Shi Feng smiled calmly, casually hurled another Blazing Fire Star, then turned and activated Wind Walk to sprint toward one corner of the chamber, completely separating from the other Mechanical Guardians.
With Wind Walk active, Shi Feng's movement speed was astonishing. Moreover, he activated the Wind Ring from the Seven Luminary Ring, boosting his movement speed by another 20%. Stacked together, Shi Feng moved like the wind.
But the Mechanical Slaughterer was even faster. What took Shi Feng several steps to cover, the Mechanical Slaughterer accomplished in a single stride. When the distance closed to about 20 yards, the Mechanical Slaughterer raised its greatsword in one hand and swung it with devastating force.
Though there were still 20 yards between them—and despite the jagged greatsword being enormous and long—it shouldn't have been able to reach Shi Feng. Yet the Mechanical Slaughterer swung the greatsword all the same.
