When Wei Yang Qian Hen spoke up in the grand hall, everyone present—whether it was the men who had originally come with her or Han Yi Feng standing beside
Wei Yang Qian Hen's voice was soft, and while her words carried a hint of reproach, they were actually quite affectionate.
Han Yi Feng was the most stunned of all. He stared at Shi Feng as though looking at a monster, his jaw nearly dropping open.
Wei Yang Qian Hen was the darling of Yuan Tian City's upper district. Even their Five Continents Corporation couldn't hope to reach her level.
Forget about Wei Yang Qian Hen walking over of her own accord to strike up a conversation—simply getting to know her was the dream of countless young elites in the upper district.
When he'd discussed Wei Yang Qian Hen with Shi Feng earlier, he'd assumed that when Shi Feng said he "knew" Wei Yang Qian Hen, he merely knew who she was. After all, the Midnight Tea Party was extremely well-known in the current Divine Realm—one of its top-tier adventure teams. Anyone who was well-informed about Divine Realm affairs, or any high-ranking member of a major power, would know at least a little about them.
He never imagined the two of them had such a close relationship.
When it came to Wei Yang Qian Hen's gentle accusation, Shi Feng could only smile wryly. "Forgive me for the amusement, Miss Wei Yang. At the time, circumstances forced me to hide my real identity."
"You sure played the part of a mature adult convincingly," Wei Yang Qian Hen said with a hint of resentment.
Back then, she'd assumed Shi Feng was older than her—at least thirty—which explained his extraordinary strength. She'd spent that whole time secretly plotting how to surpass him. After all, every time they'd met before, Shi Feng's performance had left her utterly amazed each and every time. She'd never thought a single person could be that strong.
So for a long while, she'd left the Midnight Tea Party and gone off alone, adventuring and fighting like mad, pushing her own strength to grow at breakneck speed.
She'd thought she was finally catching up to him—until she received a shocking piece of news.
The true identity of Black Flame was someone not even twenty-five years old, who had built everything entirely from scratch, with no background whatsoever and no expert guidance.
That revelation had left her thoroughly frustrated for quite some time.
"Forgive me again," Shi Feng said with a dry laugh. In truth, calling him thirty wouldn't have been inaccurate—after all, he had been in his thirties in his previous life. "But it's been a while, and you've changed remarkably, Miss Wei Yang. You've already become a celebrity in Yuan Tian City's upper district."
"Me? You've got that wrong." Wei Yang Qian Hen shook her head and smiled, pointing toward a white-robed young man nearby. "Let me introduce you to my senior brother instead!"
When she said the word "senior brother," she deliberately put extra emphasis on it. In the distance, the white-robed young man gave a helpless smile and walked over at a leisurely pace.
"Who is this?" Shi Feng looked at Qin Baiyi approaching them, feeling he looked vaguely familiar—as though they'd met somewhere before—but he couldn't quite place where.
"Hello, Guild Leader Black Flame. We meet again," Qin Baiyi said with a smile as he walked up.
"Meet again? Have we met before?" Shi Feng looked at Qin Baiyi, who greeted him with the warmth of an old friend, and felt thoroughly bewildered.
"Of course you've met! He's just like you—likes playing the mature adult!" Wei Yang Qian Hen shot Qin Baiyi a fierce glare, speaking through slightly gritted teeth.
Qin Baiyi gave an awkward smile. "Then allow me to introduce myself. You can call me by my real name, Qin Baiyi, or by my ID—Qing Feng Zhu Jiu."
"Qing Feng Zhu Jiu? You're Qing Feng Zhu Jiu?" Shi Feng's eyes widened in shock.
Qing Feng Zhu Jiu was the leader of the Midnight Tea Party. Naturally he'd met him and was fairly familiar with him—but the man before him, this refined and elegant young man in white, was a completely different style and appearance. Qing Feng Zhu Jiu's appearance in the Divine Realm was rough and wild, the polar opposite.
While Shi Feng was still reeling from this revelation, Han Yi Feng beside him was being struck even deeper by shock.
Who was Qin Baiyi?
He was a mental force master in Yuan Tian City's upper district—and the youngest mental force master at that. Who could have guessed that a mental force master would also be the leader of a twenty-person adventure team? Who would ever believe such a thing?
And here were the various major powers and super guilds in the Divine Realm, still trying to recruit or strong-arm the Midnight Tea Party. They clearly didn't even know the meaning of the word "death."
"My apologies, my apologies," Qin Baiyi said, looking a bit embarrassed at the surprise still evident in Shi Feng's eyes. "I never meant to hide it. Playing in the Divine Realm is just a personal hobby of mine."
This helped everything finally click into place for Shi Feng. He now understood why Wei Yang Qian Hen had been noticed by someone important—Qin Baiyi's introduction must have played a large role. And it also explained why the Midnight Tea Party had never feared the various major powers in the Divine Realm, yet continued to live so comfortably.
With someone of Qin Baiyi's status and standing, which major power in the Divine Realm would dare provoke them?
