"It's done!"
Shi Feng watched as a pillar of light surged upward from the teleportation magic array in the teleportation hall, and his heart swelled with excitement.
Though he had been confident that the enhanced teleportation array possessed more than enough mana to sustain a teleportation channel connecting two continents, he hadn't been one hundred percent certain it would actually succeed.
After all, beyond bridging the distance between two continents, the teleportation channel also had to traverse the distance from the continent's edge to a spatial node—no short journey in itself. If the teleportation array's mana ceiling proved insufficient, or if it failed to draw enough ambient mana from its surroundings, the connection would still fail.
Fortunately, it succeeded in the end.
"Guild Leader, are you all right over there?" Liang Jing suddenly contacted him, her voice tinged with worry. "A pillar of light just shot up from the teleportation hall. The entire city is buzzing about it—people think something catastrophic happened."
The teleportation hall was now one of Zero Wing City's most vital sources of revenue and the bedrock of the city's prosperity. Without a guild headquarters, players had no choice but to make the long trek all the way to the Extreme Ice Canyon, which would drastically dampen the enthusiasm of allied and subordinate forces to visit Zero Wing City.
"Don't worry, it's fine," Shi Feng said with a smile. "I've just linked the teleportation arrays of two continents. From now on, anyone who wants to travel to the Western Continent can teleport there directly through the array—no time restrictions, no player cap."
"Anytime? Through the teleportation hall—straight to the Western Continent?"
Liang Jing was so stunned that her mind went blank for a moment, unable to process what Shi Feng had just said. She stared at the smiling face on her screen, her eyes full of disbelief.
Before the World Passage had opened, connecting the two continents had been important, but mainly for trade purposes.
Once the World Passage opened, however, things changed entirely. With the passage located on the Eastern Continent, the entire Eastern Continent had become a sprawling warzone, with constant battles raging across the wilds. Players and forces from all over the Eastern Continent were desperate to develop on the Western Continent instead.
But the ancient teleportation arrays that could reach the Western Continent were exceedingly rare. Even among the great superpowers, only a handful possessed such capability—and even they could send only a small number of elites across.
Now she was being told that Zero Wing City's teleportation hall could transport people to the Western Continent without any restrictions at all? How could she possibly believe that?
If word of this got out, Zero Wing City would be crushed under a tidal wave of players within a single day.
It would overturn the entire power structure of the Eastern Continent and reshape it beyond recognition.
"That's right," Shi Feng said with a smile. "Didn't you previously propose opening up Zero Wing City further? Now that the cross-realm teleportation array is complete, you can make the announcement—starting today, Zero Wing City will be fully open to the public. And as compensation for all our allied and subordinate forces, they'll enjoy a thirty percent discount on all teleportation fees!"
He hadn't originally planned to fully open Zero Wing City this soon, but he hadn't expected Zero Wing's growth to be so rapid, either. They had hit a bottleneck faster than anticipated.
If he wanted Zero Wing's influence to expand further, the only path forward was to throw the gates open completely.
Only then could Zero Wing City draw in a massive influx of resources and wealth, attracting more powerful players into the guild.
"Fully open? Guild Leader! Isn't that… too fast?" Liang Jing blurted out anxiously. "With just the current mana environment and security of Zero Wing City, players and superpowers across the Eastern Continent are already going crazy. And now that you're opening a teleportation hall to the Western Continent—if this news gets out, Zero Wing will become the thorn in the side of every single force on the Eastern Continent. Even those outside-world powers will probably lose their minds…"
Even without overthinking Zero Wing City's future, Liang Jing fully understood what a total opening would mean. The consequences would be terrifying.
It would shake the entire Eastern Continent.
No—it would send shockwaves across the entire Divine Realm.
Such a shift would rival the opening of the World Passage itself. And once that happened, no matter how much Zero Wing wanted to stay under the radar, it would become the absolute center of the entire Divine Realm. Under the weight of such staggering resources and influence, given enough time, even the five great super-guilds combined might no longer be able to stand against Zero Wing.
