Zero Wing City, City Lord's Mansion.
Banxia Qingcheng, Jian Ying, Banjiu, Ke Le, You Lan, Hei Zi, Fei Ying, Wusheng Daoke, Mangu Yijiu, Ye Wumian, Yidao Chengfeng, Su Qianliu, Didiao Beifeng, Yue Wange, and the others had all gathered on the second basement floor of the City Lord's Mansion.
Ke Le couldn't help but ask Fire Dance, who was leading the way, "Captain, is there some big emergency that the Guild Master suddenly called us all here for?"
At Ke Le's words, everyone else looked curiously toward Fire Dance as well.
After all, in order to improve their odds of advancing to a fourth-tier class, they had all been fully immersed in the arena, PvP-ing each other to frantically sharpen their control over magic power.
Within Zero Wing City's magic-rich environment, they could clearly feel themselves growing stronger. In fact, Banxia Qingcheng had even become a Magic Array Master and obtained her own magic domain — something that had left everyone green with envy.
"It's a secret," Fire Dance said with a smile as she led the way. "And this trip is actually a good thing for you all. It might even significantly increase your chances of advancing to a fourth-tier class."
She fully understood everyone's desire to improve. After all, Zero Wing City's environment was hugely beneficial even for someone like her with a fourth-tier class, let alone those still stuck at the third tier.
In the current state of the Divine Realm, a third-tier class simply couldn't shoulder the burden. Only by advancing to the fourth tier could one truly make a difference. So she understood very well how eager everyone was to reach that milestone.
"Captain, you're not pulling our leg, are you?" Jian Ying's eyes lit up. "Even in an environment like Zero Wing City, there's still a way to improve our chances of advancing?"
Even with Zero Wing City's superior environment, he knew all too well that given his skill level, advancing to the fourth tier would still be incredibly difficult. Without numerous attempts, it was virtually impossible to make the leap.
And each failed attempt at a fourth-tier advancement meant waiting a long time before trying again. Even if finding a fourth-tier inheritance site went smoothly, there was still at least a one-month wait in between. If he failed several times in a row, four or five months would vanish. Drag things out, and half a year or more could slip by.
Over half a year stuck at the third tier — he couldn't even imagine how vast the gap between himself and the fourth-tier powerhouses would become...
After all, there were far too many places in the Divine Realm that a third-tier class simply couldn't set foot in. The fourth tier was the entry threshold, and those places held far more opportunities — whether inheritance skills, weapons, or equipment — than any other map could compare to.
"That's what the Guild Master said," Fire Dance nodded. "Otherwise, he wouldn't have dragged you all away from your training."
With that, Fire Dance arrived at an enormous stone door that had been completely sealed by magic arrays. Standing guard before it were four Gold-grade third-tier NPCs, each over level 140. Even a fourth-tier player would find it impossible to break through in any reasonable time.
The four Gold-grade third-tier NPCs nodded at Fire Dance and slowly unsealed the massive stone door.
As it swung open, they could see a secret chamber the size of a basketball court on the other side. Every wall was plastered with various magic arrays forming layer upon layer of seals. Once inside, even a fourth-tier class causing a ruckus wouldn't produce the slightest disturbance detectable from the outside.
Inside the chamber, Shi Feng — clad in a black cloak — had already been waiting for some time.
Shi Feng glanced at the group and said casually, "Come in, all of you."
At his words, Fire Dance was the first to step into the chamber out of curiosity, and the others filed in one after another.
Once everyone had entered, the massive stone door began to close slowly behind them. The four third-tier Gold-grade guards resumed their silent vigil at the entrance, not daring to let their guard slip for even a moment.
After Fire Dance and the others entered the chamber, they all regarded Shi Feng with puzzled expressions.
Because throughout the entire chamber, they couldn't sense anything special at all. In fact, if it wasn't just their imagination, the concentration of magic power inside actually seemed somewhat lower than outside.
Shi Feng looked at the confused group and asked with a smile, "Are you all wondering why I brought you to a place like this?"
"Guild Master, Captain Fire Dance said you have a way to increase our chances of advancing to the fourth tier," Ke Le was the first to blurt out. "Is that really true?"
As for his own confidence in advancing... honestly, he had almost none. His combat proficiency was still at the Flowing Water Realm, and his control over magic power was barely at the level of a high-level mage. Learning fourth-tier inheritance skills in a short amount of time was simply out of the question.
"It's true," Shi Feng nodded. "But how much it helps depends on you." He then pointed to the magical beast stone sculpture positioned in the center of the chamber behind him. "And this is the key to your fourth-tier advancement!"
"Stone sculpture?"
Everyone present, including Fire Dance, looked baffled.
The stone sculpture before them was certainly exquisitely crafted, but no matter how they looked at it, it didn't seem like it could be the key to advancing their class tier.
"Get closer and take a look," Shi Feng reminded them with a smile. "Don't try to see it with your eyes. Feel it with your entire body."
Magical beast stone sculptures were incredibly mysterious things, and discovering their special properties was extraordinarily difficult. They needed to be placed in an area with extremely dense magic power to reveal even some of their peculiarities, and even then, the area of effect was remarkably small.
