Shi Feng immediately opened the Crown of Purification's attribute panel to examine it, deeply curious about what the legendary Fire Treasure was actually capable of.
Crown of Purification — Legendary fragment. Originally a fragment of the Fire Treasure, but sealed by the power of an evil god, infiltrated by dark energy, and unable to unleash its true power. Only by purging the corrupting dark energy can its original power be restored.
Skill One — Flame Seed: Can manipulate all flames and convert them into a Flame Seed. After absorbing the Flame Seed, the user gains control of that flame. Cooldown: three natural days. (Can manipulate up to Tier 4 flames.)
Skill Two — Purification Fire: Consumes 300 fire-attribute magic crystals to produce a single Purification Fire. Purification Fire has a 20% chance of elevating a creature's life level and an 80% chance of utterly annihilating it.
Skill Three — Divine Purification: Restores the user's vitality through Divine Crystals. (Requires 20 crystals; currently absorbed: 0) This item has been corrupted by the power of an evil god. The Golden Holy Mark can assist Divine Crystals in purging the dark energy. The item is indestructible, and there is a chance it will drop upon the bearer's death.
"No wonder the Beast Emperor was able to mass-produce Legendary Sacred Sculpture monsters — he was relying on the power of this Crown of Purification." After reading through the Crown's attributes, everything clicked into place for Shi Feng.
It had to be said — the Seven Treasures truly were the Seven Treasures. Each one possessed an almost heaven-defying effect.
For any living creature, the Fire Treasure was nothing short of a supreme treasure for reaching the pinnacle. The only catch was that the price was rather steep — a full 80% chance of death. Anyone who hadn't completely exhausted their potential would never dare use it so recklessly.
Only someone like the Beast Emperor, who could effortlessly mass-produce Sacred Sculpture monsters, could casually deploy the Purification Fire without worrying about the cost. As long as he could create even a single Legendary Sacred Sculpture, the price was trivial. After all, High Grand Lord-tier Sacred Sculptures were far too easy to produce.
The only real headache was probably the fire-attribute magic crystals.
If ordinary magic crystals would have worked, the current number of Legendary Sacred Sculpture Breakers would likely number in the tens of thousands — perhaps even hundreds of thousands. It was no wonder the Beast Emperor had propped up the Holy Heart's Hand in the first place.
"Still, this Purification Fire really is a remarkable thing. Elevating a creature's life level — even with only a 20% success rate, it's a gamble that's practically guaranteed to pay off in the long run." Shi Feng examined the Purification Fire's effects more closely, his heart filling with wonder.
Creatures, of course, didn't just include Sacred Sculpture monsters. Mounts and NPCs counted as well.
Even players were included in the equation, though the Purification Fire's effect on players was probably minimal at best — likely only boosting base attributes and physique. Whether it could ultimately elevate a player's tier would still depend on the player themselves.
But for mounts and NPCs, the story was entirely different. An elevation in life level meant a significant increase in the chances of advancing to the next tier.
That said, Shi Feng wouldn't dare experiment carelessly. With only a 20% success rate, he couldn't afford to take that kind of risk. Flying mounts and high-potential NPC guards were exceedingly rare — if one of them was incinerated, it would be gone for good. There'd be nowhere to turn and nothing to do but cry about it.
Shi Feng then turned his attention to the Crown of Purification's first skill.
"Flame Seed — now that really is something."
Powerful flames meant nothing to ordinary players, but for crafting players — especially those in the Blacksmithing and Alchemy classes — this was a god-tier tool that could dramatically increase crafting success rates.
Especially the rare and coveted Strange Fires.
