The experts from the major factions stared up at the sky, at the completely suppressed dual magic array, and could only gape in disbelief. Not a single one of them could fathom how a single Magic Domain could overcome a dual one.
After all, the Magic Domain Ziyan Liuyun had displayed — its mana and oppressive aura — wasn't any stronger than Jiuxiao Longyun's dual Magic Domain. If anything, it was a touch weaker.
And yet it had completely overpowered Jiuxiao Longyun's dual domain!
"Well now, this is getting interesting." A handsome young man wearing the emblem of the Hundred Ghosts studied Ziyan Liuyun in the sky, a faint smile on his lips. "This little beauty's understanding and control of magical elements has surpassed that Jiuxiao Longyun by a wide margin. Even if Jiuxiao Longyun's dual Magic Domain is more powerful in raw force, when it comes to seizing control of magical elements, he falls far short."
"Hmph. These people think that just because they've advanced to Tier 4, having power and stats is all that matters. They have no idea that at the Tier 4 level, the most important thing is no longer stats or technique — it's understanding and control of magical elements." Beside him, a beautiful and heroic woman with short, water-blue hair and form-fitting, elegant light armor scoffed dismissively. "A Magic Domain, at its core, is simply the ability to command the magical elements of an area for one's own use. Just because someone learned to run two mana rules simultaneously doesn't mean they can beat someone with far greater control over magical elements."
The handsome young man gazed at Ziyan Liuyun floating in the sky like a goddess amid the stars, and a flicker of admiration crossed his face. "Still, a genius like her would be perfect for us. We could bring her in as one of my external support members."
"Qiyuan! You never change!" The short-haired woman shot him a withering glare. "Don't forget why we came to the Divine Realm continent. Don't go getting carried away like last time."
"Relax, I know exactly what I'm doing. On this Divine Realm continent, no one can be my match. Zero Wing's three great guilds are doomed to suffer a crushing defeat — even if that Black Flame shows up, the result will be the same. If this little beauty wants to keep Zero Wing alive, she'll have no choice but to come begging to me. And when that happens, there's no way she won't take the bait." The handsome young man chuckled.
The short-haired woman, who carried a massive axe on her back, said nothing more. Because whether Zero Wing survived or not truly did hinge on a single word from them.
Meanwhile, while the two were talking, Jiuxiao Longyun in the sky had already made his move. He showed not the slightest dejection over having his Magic Domain suppressed. With the greatsword in his hand, and at a distance of less than fifty yards from Ziyan Liuyun, he slashed down in a single powerful swing.
Nine Polar Sword Slashes — Fourth-tier Legacy Skill: Shattering Magic Light!
A fusion of combat technique and magical spell. Nine arcs of sword light tore through space, instantly materializing at nine different locations around Ziyan Liuyun. The scene left everyone watching completely dumbfounded.
By now, Jiuxiao Longyun was practically no longer a melee class — he was far more terrifying than any ranged combatant. All anyone could see was Jiuxiao Longyun continuously swinging his greatsword through the sky, while sword arcs materialized all around Ziyan Liuyun at every angle, as though Jiuxiao Longyun were standing beside her from every direction at once.
"Jiuxiao Longyun really isn't holding back." Qianli Wuya, standing at the entrance to the base camp, gazed up at the scene and couldn't help but laugh. "At this rate, the battle will be over in less than ten seconds."
Jiuxiao Longyun was a Battlemage — a perfect fusion of magic and swordplay. He excelled at both close combat and ranged attacks alike. Making his dual Magic Domain ineffective was certainly impressive, but his devastating Swift Sword technique had been brought to its fullest potential through Shattering Magic Light.
"Sure, you've got all sorts of teleportation skills, but during the duration of my Shattering Magic Light, there's nowhere you can go that will save you. You'd be better off just admitting defeat. If this skill connects, even a Tier 4 tanking class won't walk away in one piece!" Jiuxiao Longyun called out with a laugh as he watched Ziyan Liuyun scramble to evade.
From everyone's perspective, facing a magic-based class did put him at some disadvantage. But he was a Battlemage — whether in close combat or at range, he was equally adept.
And Shattering Magic Light lasted a full three minutes. Ziyan Liuyun's evasion skills, however, were limited. Once she ran out of Blink charges, the only thing awaiting her would be certain death.
"Thanks for the warning." Ziyan Liuyun returned Jiuxiao Longyun's arrogance with a calm, faint smile. "I might not be able to dodge when it's just one of me — but what about many of me?"
With a wave of her staff, dozens of Ziyan Liuyun suddenly materialized across the vast starry sky domain, each one cloaked in a hazy outline that made it utterly impossible to tell the real one from the fakes.
