Shi Feng had considered every possibility for the items Sablaid might drop — even a damaged Legendary item wasn't out of the question. After all, opportunities to kill a Tier 4 NPC of Dragon Heart City were extremely rare.
If Sablaid hadn't actively left the city to provoke him, and had instead stayed inside, Shi Feng knew he'd have had absolutely no chance whatsoever.
That was because Dragon Heart City's magic array could buff the NPCs within it. As long as Sablaid didn't do something that completely violated Dragon Heart City's rules, the moment Shi Feng tried to kill him inside the city, the other NPCs would come to Sablaid's aid — and in the blink of an eye, they could rescue him before the killing blow even landed.
This was because Tier 5 NPCs could create a realm with a single thought. The Holy Star Knight Order's leader, Sheila, may have flown over at an unhurried pace, but accomplishing something like that would be trivially easy for her.
Now, as Shi Feng gazed at the crystal mirror in his hand, all manner of speculation about Sablaid's true identity churned in his mind.
Because the item before him was simply not something a minor figure like Sablaid should ever have been able to obtain.
Shi Feng glanced at the three other crystal mirrors and the ink-dark crystal nearby, and couldn't help but laugh. "A Mirror of the World — in my previous life, it was said you could only obtain one by completely dominating an empire — and yet it was in the hands of a mere Tier 4 NPC. If word got out, no one would believe it."
The Mirror of the World!
Also known as the Spatial Mystic Mirror, it was a genuine ancient relic — something that the current Divine Realm was simply incapable of producing.
These artifacts had been crafted by the ancient gods themselves, making even counterfeiting virtually impossible.
They were also the treasured heirlooms of the great empires!
Without total dominion over an empire, a player could never hope to obtain one.
The Mirror of the World that Sablaid had dropped was, of course, incomplete. A complete set consisted of twelve mirrors plus a control core — only then would it be a true Mirror of the World, with the power to seal heaven, lock the realm, and transfer heaven and earth.
"Sealing heaven and locking the realm" here was nothing like the simple barrier formations used to seal off a zone. It transformed an entire area into its own independent realm, like a miniature world.
Within this miniature world, even a Tier 5 Class holder would be unable to break free. Anyone who stepped inside its range would have their strength drastically reduced — unable to even unleash twenty or thirty percent of their true combat power. As for those below Tier 5, the situation was even more hopeless.
Moreover, the Mirror of the World's coverage area was vast — it could seal off several major maps without any difficulty.
Any faction that possessed a Mirror of the World was virtually untouchable as long as no Tier 6 god-class expert intervened. And even if a Tier 6 god-class powerhouse did act, their combat power would be significantly diminished within that realm.
This was precisely why even some super guilds that had several Tier 6 god-class experts couldn't take down a top-tier first-rate guild that was guarded by just a single god-class expert.
The Mirror of the World Shi Feng currently held was incomplete — it lacked the full power to seal heaven and earth and create a self-contained world. But for any faction in the current age, it was an invaluable treasure, far more precious than even Legendary items.
Even in its incomplete state, the Mirror of the World possessed numerous extraordinary capabilities. The simplest of these was the ability to transfer an entire city to any location where coordinates had been set.
Alternatively, if installed in a guild city's core magic array and bound to the city, it could directly elevate an advanced guild city to the level of a principal-city-grade guild city.
And if a complete Mirror of the World were bound to a guild city, upgrading it all the way to an advanced principal city would be entirely feasible. After all, an empire's capital was merely an advanced principal city, and above that tier, Holy Cities could be counted on one hand across the entire Divine Realm.
Any Holy City was impregnable to anyone below Tier 6 god-class.
To attack one was suicide — no number of Tier 5 experts would make the slightest difference.
That was because one of the necessary conditions for a city to ascend to Holy City status was having a Mirror of the World as its guardian. With even a single Tier 5 expert holding the fort, any number of Tier 5 invaders would be meaningless.
Now, for Sablaid to have dropped such a treasure — how could Shi Feng not be stunned?
