Dragon Heart City, Wandering Merchant's Shop.
After Elder Wu and the other two walked in, a magnificent and opulent scene immediately came into view, completely different from the dilapidated appearance outside.
"What's going on?" Qian Ming observed the interior space, somewhat incredulously. "I was just here not long ago. How has everything changed?"
The old Wandering Merchant's Shop, even when you went inside, had always retained a somewhat worn feel, but the items for sale were excellent — just extremely expensive. Unless it was urgent, no one would come here to buy anything.
But now, not only had the entire room become magnificent and opulent, the space, which had previously been the size of a basketball court, was now the size of half a football field. The number of items on display had multiplied several times over, and every single one was a treasure.
Third-tier magic scrolls!
Master-grade potions!
Mithril of Alchemy!
The Mithril of Alchemy was particularly noteworthy. This item was the pinnacle of alchemy — it could increase forging success rates by 15%, and even when crafting epic-grade weapons and equipment, it could boost the crafted item's attributes by 10%. It was never sold on the market and could only be obtained by exploring ancient ruins. Its rarity exceeded even that of epic-grade items.
Yet here, there were a full ten pieces of Mithril of Alchemy for sale.
And this was only the first floor.
The Wandering Merchant's Shop had three floors in total, with each floor offering progressively more valuable items. The first floor sold the lowest-grade goods.
"Yu Ye, take a look later. Whatever we need, buy it all!" Elder Wu swept his gaze around the shop, somewhat tempted by the items on display.
Though the prices were steep — the cheapest items cost twenty Ancient Gold Coins, and something like Mithril of Alchemy cost a full one thousand — one had to admit that these were things you simply couldn't buy even if you wanted to on the outside.
Buying just one piece of Mithril of Alchemy gave a Senior Master Blacksmith an excellent chance of successfully crafting an epic-grade weapon or equipment piece, and the attributes would be boosted by 10%. That would make for a top-quality epic-grade item — something the Thirteen Kingdoms desperately needed.
Due to the system's major upgrade, monsters had become far more difficult to deal with. Monsters that could previously be handled with a set of Gold-grade weapons and equipment now required at least Dark Gold-grade gear.
Even a Tier 3 main tank trying to hold the line against a High Lord-rank monster would struggle without two or three pieces of epic-grade equipment, let alone facing a Tier 4 Legendary monster.
Nowadays, the speed at which a faction could clear maps and Dungeons no longer depended solely on player combat ability — it also required epic-grade weapons and equipment. Otherwise, the gains from clearing level 120+ maps wouldn't even cover the losses from team wipes.
"Yes!" Yu Ye snapped out of his daze and nodded.
Then Elder Wu and the other two went up to the second floor, where the items nearly made Yu Ye drool — because the second floor actually had epic-grade items for sale.
Though they weren't epic-grade weapons or equipment, they were extremely rare epic-grade items.
Sealing Boundary Crystal — an epic-grade consumable that could seal a radius of two thousand yards, reducing all enemy attributes within the magic circle by 40% (25% reduction against Tier 4 Legendary monsters) for two hours.
Windrider's Rope — an epic-grade item that could increase a mount's movement speed by 15%, and a flying mount's movement speed by 25%.
...
One epic-grade item after another dazzled the eye. A rough count showed more than sixty items. The only frustrating thing was the prices — all starting at fifteen hundred Ancient Gold Coins.
But one had to admit these were things every major faction on the outside desperately wanted, because in addition to the various epic-grade items, there were also top-grade tools for various crafting professions.
For example, a set of Dark Gold-grade equipment for boosting alchemy success rates — a single set cost five thousand Ancient Gold Coins...
Just a cursory scan by Elder Wu and his companions gave them the feeling of having entered a treasure vault. Every item was tempting, but the more tempting the item, the more eye-watering the price. With fewer than sixty thousand Ancient Gold Coins between them, they could afford precious few items.
However, just as Elder Wu and the others were about to head up to the third floor, a graceful figure blocked their path. A terrifying aura made all three of them feel oppressed.
"I'm sorry, but the upper floors are off-limits to outsiders," Yu Luo said, regarding the three of them. "If you wish to purchase items, you can only buy from the first and second floors."
Qian Ming and Yu Ye beside Elder Wu stared at Yu Luo, unable to believe their eyes.
Tier 4!
A genuine Tier 4 Grand Priest!
Both Qian Ming and Yu Ye knew something about Yu Luo the Priest, as she had originally been the healing team leader of Sky Blade and was one of the few top experts on Dragon Heart Island.
What they couldn't imagine was that the Yu Luo before them had already advanced to a Tier 4 Class.
After all, everyone who had managed to advance to Tier 4 so far had needed the full support of an entire guild to barely manage the promotion. Yu Luo, a Priest who had been missing for a month, had reappeared already as a Tier 4 Grand Priest — how could anyone believe that?
"Miss, might I ask if you're the one who opened this Wandering Merchant's Shop?" Elder Wu couldn't help but ask.
"No, I'm merely managing it for the time being." Yu Luo shook her head. "This shop was opened by Guild Leader Black Flame. Is there something I can help you with?"
"Black Flame opened it?" Elder Wu was momentarily stunned.
A luxurious and precious shop like this was probably worth millions of Ancient Gold Coins. If Sky Blade had opened it, he might have believed it — after all, Sky Blade had been established on Dragon Heart Island for ages. But a shop like this opened by Black Flame? Who would believe that?
But while Elder Wu was still frozen in disbelief, Qian Ming reacted quickly.
