Chapter 28: The Terror of Hell Difficulty

The elite sentinels were all dead, and on the empty lawn, only the boss, Wilmy, remained. At this moment, Wilmy was lying on the ground sleeping, occasionally scratching its back, utterly unconcerned that its subordinates had vanished.

"Everyone, take a moment to recover. I'll explain the strategy for dealing with Wilmy shortly," Shi Feng said, wanting to let everyone relax a bit first. Facing Wilmy wasn't going to be easy; it would require intense focus. One mistake, and everyone would be wiped out.

Hearing Shi Feng's order, everyone sat down and began eating and drinking to restore their condition.

With a flick of his finger, Shi Feng brought up his attribute panel.

Having just reached Level 2, thanks to being an Abyssal, he had 2 more free attribute points than others. This gave him slightly more flexibility in his stat choices compared to ordinary players.

For a Swordsman in the early stages, 20 points of Agility was sufficient. However, he planned to raise it to 30 first. Reaching 30 Agility would also provide a certain boost to the body's flexibility. He would then add the remaining points to Strength, better to contend with the boss.

With three pieces of Bronze Equipment, one Black Iron Ring, and a Magic Artifact on him, his attributes basically met Shi Feng's requirements.

Character: Night Edge (Human)

Kingdom: Star Moon

Title: One Rider Against a Thousand

Class: Swordsman

Level: 2

HP: 520/520

Attack: 88

Defense: 39

Attack Speed: 15

Movement Speed: 13

Stats: Strength 32, Agility 30, Stamina 24, Intelligence 13, Spirit 13.

With these stats, he had a bit more confidence in dealing with Wilmy.

Seeing that everyone's status had fully recovered, Shi Feng began to explain. "Wilmy has two major skills. One is Killing Feast — it ignores aggro and randomly attacks multiple nearby players. Hei Zi and Jimo Ruxue, watch your positioning. The other is Death Claw. Ke Le, you have to get away from the boss in advance for that one. Jimo Ruxue, focus on interrupting. I'll call it out when the time comes. One more thing — Wilmy is smart, so don't keep using the same attack pattern. That's about it. Once you're ready, Ke Le, go pull the boss."

"Brother Feng, isn't there anything else we need to watch out for?" Hei Zi walked up to Shi Feng and asked in a low voice.

This was the Hell Difficulty Silent Forest, and none of them were experts. Yet Shi Feng's explanation was so brief that he almost felt like taking down this boss would be easy. But so many Elite teams had wiped on the normal difficulty — how could Hell Difficulty possibly be simple?

"Captain, aren't there any specific details we should be aware of?"

Everyone was worried too, looking at Shi Feng with expectant eyes, hoping he would say a few more words about the finer points. They were total newcomers who didn't understand a lot of things. What Shi Feng, as an expert, might assume everyone already knew was anything but obvious to novices like them.

Elites weren't bosses. When other Elite teams had wiped, they had certainly fallen to the boss. Their equipment was better than those Elite teams', sure, but they were Level 1 newcomers who knew full well what they were capable of.

"You're overthinking it. Just relax — I'll call out exactly what to do and when. Don't worry about it. Ke Le, go pull the boss. Remember to dodge as much as you can. A single healer can't keep up with the boss's damage." Shi Feng smiled, finding his teammates rather amusing — even more serious and thorough than he had expected. In his previous life as the guild leader of Shadow, he had run Hell Difficulty dungeons countless times, including one-hundred-man raids. There was no way he wouldn't know how to guide a few newcomers through a small boss.

Ke Le had no choice but to charge in.

The moment Ke Le stepped into Wilmy's detection range, Wilmy sprang up violently and locked onto Ke Le, drool pouring from his mouth. His two steel claws scraped against each other, sending sparks flying. Ke Le had clearly triggered Wilmy's killing intent. The boss raised his steel claws high and rushed toward Ke Le with unrestrained eagerness.

"Begin healing casts now — all DPS, focus your attacks on Wilmy's arms." Upon seeing the ferocious charge, Shi Feng called out urgently.

The moment Shi Feng finished speaking, Wilmy was already in front of Ke Le. Before Ke Le could even react, claws descended from above, slashing toward his head.

With a clang, Ke Le instinctively raised his shield to block the steel claws, sending three brilliant sparks flying and leaving three deep scratch marks on the iron shield. The tremendous impact forced Ke Le back five or six steps before he could steady himself, and a massive 103-point damage indicator popped up above his head.

Before Ke Le could even counterattack, Wilmy swung his steel claws again, sending both the shield and Ke Le flying. A 105-point damage indicator appeared. By then, the healing finally landed, restoring 43 HP — practically negligible compared to the damage taken.

Everyone was stunned. The boss's speed and damage output were absolutely terrifying. If Ke Le hadn't been wearing two pieces of Bronze Equipment and used his shield to block, those two hits alone would have killed him.

"Jimo Ruxue, charge Wilmy! Hei Zi, use Evil Thrash!" Shi Feng had anticipated this and ordered Hei Zi to use his crowd-control skill.

Jimo Ruxue snapped into action, charging forward to intercept Wilmy's next attack and saving Ke Le's life.

However, Jimo Ruxue's attack only dealt 11 points of damage to Wilmy. Even Jimo Ruxue himself was stunned — he had two pieces of Bronze Equipment with most of his stats in Strength, yet he could only deal such meager damage. This boss had 6,000 HP.

Hei Zi finished his casting from the side and unleashed Evil Thrash.

Five black thorns instantly bound Wilmy's legs, drastically reducing his speed.

Seizing the opportunity, Shi Feng moved behind Wilmy. With the Abyssal in hand, he unleashed a double slash on Wilmy's neck, dealing 66 and 67 points of damage and inflicting a bleed effect — 8 points per second for ten seconds.
