Shi Feng was genuinely taken aback for a moment upon hearing that.
According to what Kerui had told him, the trading price for Contribution Points topped out at 1.5 times at most, and that was during the most heated bidding periods. After all, if you didn't enter the middle layer, it didn't matter how many Contribution Points you accumulated in the Green God Corporation.
An offer of double the price was remarkably high, even considering the Green God Corporation's policy of allowing the top twenty to redeem three items in the middle layer.
The reality was that competing for the top three was simply too difficult. Before he had learned the details about those three, he'd still harbored some confidence — felt he might actually have a shot at claiming a top-three spot in this Contribution Competition. But once he understood who those people were, that notion had largely evaporated.
When those three got serious, it wasn't out of the question for them to produce over a million Contribution Points in one go.
Which meant he'd need to secure at least a hundred thousand units of Seven Luminaries Crystal as a bare minimum.
And what did that quantity even mean?
Even if you combined over a dozen superpowers — even the five great mega guilds — and squeezed every last drop out of them, they still couldn't come up with that many Seven Luminaries Crystals. And that was just the minimum…

Their production wasn't much higher than on the Divine Realm continent either — if anything, competition was even fiercer.
From what he'd heard, the Star Continent was also purchasing Seven Luminaries Crystals at outrageous prices. They could be exchanged for all manner of real-world living resources, and if you had enough of them, you could even move from an ordinary civilian residence straight into the Core Zone without any issues at all. That made competition in the Primordial Divine Realm even more cutthroat.
It was nothing like the Divine Realm continent, where only the major financial groups in the upper layer fought over them — ordinary players, even ordinary large enterprises and corporations, had absolutely nothing to do with it.
So even if he went all out competing for Seven Luminaries Crystals in the Primordial Divine Realm, the amount he could grab still wouldn't be enough to claim a top-three spot in this Contribution Competition.
His current goal was simply to stabilize within the top twenty. Any excess Contribution Points could indeed be traded off for a portion.
"That's right — double the price. Surely Chairman Shi can see our young master's sincerity." Zhuo Linqiu smiled, looking rather proud. "You won't find anyone else in the entire Basic Layer who'd offer you this price."
As one of the top financial groups in the nation, the Wuzhou Grand Consortium possessed a heritage even slightly deeper than that of the Giant Stone Grand Consortium. Combined with the fact that this generation had a family genius like Han Yifeng as the heir, breaking into the middle layer was only a matter of time — something other financial groups simply couldn't compare with.
Shi Feng considered for a moment. "I'm not opposed to double the price, but I have one condition."
A purchase at double the price would be tempting for anyone — it was essentially half-price access to all manner of Green God Corporation items. For someone as desperately short on resources as he was, this was genuinely good news.
"A condition? What condition?" Zhuo Linqiu's brow furrowed slightly.
In his view, double the price was already more than generous. He hadn't expected Shi Feng to push his luck.
"I want the payment settled in Life Potions or Illusion Heart Potions, or alternatively through middle-layer limited redemption items." Shi Feng stated flatly. "I won't accept any other form of payment."
For the current him, five million Points were more than enough to live on in the Basic Layer. Any Points beyond that held no meaning whatsoever — only those limited-quantity items had real value to him.
Life Potions and Illusion Heart Potions especially — these were things you simply couldn't buy on the outside. Even if he went to redeem them himself, he could only get five bottles of each per year. That amount was nowhere near enough, let alone when he needed to supply others as well.
"That condition is too much. You should know that the value of those items can't just be redeemed casually in large quantities with Points or Contribution Points!" Zhuo Linqiu refused outright. "And there's no one in the entire Basic Layer who could possibly satisfy that condition."
Whether it was Life Potions, Illusion Heart Potions, or the even more precious middle-layer limited items — these were all things the major financial groups treasured greatly. There was no way they'd casually trade them off to someone else.
"How about this, then?" Shi Feng suggested. "What if I redeem at original price?"
His condition had indeed been a bit of a wild opening bid, but that was how business worked — you named a price, I counter, and eventually both sides arrive at a figure they can accept.
"You…" Zhuo Linqiu was momentarily speechless, feeling as though Shi Feng hadn't understood a single word he'd said.
But before Zhuo Linqiu could respond, a voice suddenly reached both his and Shi Feng's ears.
"Original price is out of the question. However, with my level of authority, I can trade with you at double the price for a portion — that's the absolute floor I can offer." Han Yifeng's voice came through Zhuo Linqiu's light-brain wristwatch. "And I also believe that in the entire Basic Layer, no one else will offer you a higher price than mine."
