"Could Qingyi Duxing be possessed by some kind of monster?"
"What do we do now?"
"Let's just fall back and keep our distance!"
Everyone watched as Qingyi Duxing walked on alone with a confused look in her eyes, and one by one they couldn't help but retreat, putting considerable distance between them. After all, Qingyi Duxing was no pushover—she had a hidden class as a Guardian Knight. If she got close and launched a sneak attack, the consequences would be just as terrible as what had happened to the female Summoner earlier.
Once the people in the back row had pulled away, Qingyi Duxing slowed down as well, looking at them with some puzzlement.
"What's wrong with all of you?"
As she asked, the long sword in her hand blazed with dazzling light, causing the surrounding space to warp ever so slightly.
"Watch out! Be careful! That's her third-tier inheritance skill—if it hits us, we're dead for sure!"
A third-tier expert who knew Qingyi Duxing well couldn't help but shout a warning to the Fighting Soul guild's experts, then promptly dove into the woods.
In an instant, several top players from the Red Emperor guild likewise scrambled into the forest, leaving the Fighting Soul experts hesitating—unsure whether to take cover or stand and fight.
Meanwhile, Qingyi Duxing herself was staring in bewilderment at the fleeing Red Emperor members.
"Mingxiao, what's gotten into all of them? Why are they all looking at me like that?" Qingyi Duxing turned toward the female Summoner who, by all rights, should have been dead by now.
"I have no idea." The Summoner named Mingxiao shook her head, equally perplexed. Then she said, "Why don't we go over there and check? It won't be good if they stray too far from the group."
"Good point." Qingyi Duxing nodded.
Up ahead, Huan Yu watched Qingyi Duxing preparing to leave the formation on her own and deliberately slowed her pace.
"What exactly are you doing, Qingyi?" Huan Yu called out to her, brow furrowed in confusion. "And who were you talking to this whole time?"
"Me?" Qingyi Duxing turned to face Huan Yu, her eyes full of doubt. "I've been talking to Mingxiao, haven't I?"
"Mingxiao?" Huan Yu stared at Qingyi Duxing strangely. "Mingxiao is up at the front, isn't she?"
"Up front?" Qingyi Duxing turned to look—and the female Summoner Mingxiao, who had been chatting and laughing with her just moments ago, was nowhere to be seen. "Where did she go?"
"Something's wrong—where did all our people go?" Huan Yu suddenly asked Qingyi Duxing in an odd tone.
"They? I don't know what happened. They just suddenly fell back toward the woods." Qingyi Duxing shook her head, just as baffled.
"This is bad! We've been played!" Huan Yu's face darkened as she looked at the rear of the formation, where the team had entirely vanished. "That
"That's…" Qingyi Duxing was stunned speechless.
"We've already taken massive losses. If we keep following him, he'll lead us straight to our graves. The only option is to take him out right now!" Huan Yu glanced toward Shi Feng, who was leading the group up ahead, and lowered her voice. "I'll assist you. With your strength, even if you can't finish him in one blow, you should be able to deal a crippling hit. Then I'll deliver the killing strike!"
"Damned Black Flame! I knew he was no good!" Qingyi Duxing nodded in agreement.
She then picked up her pace and charged straight toward Shi Feng.
In less than a hundred yards, Qingyi Duxing appeared behind Shi Feng in the blink of an eye. The long sword in her hand erupted in blinding radiance, and she slashed down without the slightest hesitation toward Shi Feng, who seemed completely unprepared.
Wherever the blade passed, countless pitch-black cracks tore through the air, stretching out over a hundred yards like a sky-covering net falling from above—utterly impossible to dodge.
"Qingyi, what are you doing?!" Bumie Zhanxin, standing nearby, cried out in shock as he saw Qingyi Duxing launch her ambush.
But Qingyi Duxing ignored everything and swung the full-force strike down.
The moment the blade came down, Qingyi Duxing froze in disbelief.
"Where is he?"
She stared ahead at the empty mountain path—there was no trace of anyone. Her heart pounded with shock.
By the time Qingyi Duxing came to her senses, Shi Feng was already standing right beside her, gazing at her calmly.
At that instant, Bumie Zhanxin moved, seizing Qingyi Duxing's wrist in a vice-like grip so she couldn't break free.
"Qingyi, what the hell are you doing! You attacked Guild Master Black Flame—have you lost your mind?!" Bumie Zhanxin demanded.
"Let go of me! He's trying to kill us!" Qingyi Duxing twisted her head toward Shi Feng. "He wants to use the Destruction Mountain Range to wipe out our entire top-tier team! Don't believe me? Look behind you—there's hardly anyone left!"
"Hardly anyone left?" Bumie Zhanxin's face went pale. He whipped his head around to look.
Behind them, fewer than two or three out of ten players remained. His expression turned铁青 at once.
"Guild Master Black Flame, is it true that you…" Bumie Zhanxin turned to Shi Feng and confronted him. "You intend to eliminate all of us?"
But before Bumie Zhanxin could finish, the Abyssal in Shi Feng's hand was already drawn.
