As far as he knew, throughout the entire Divine Realm, no one had ever received a legacy value exceeding 100% during a Tier 4 class advancement quest. The absolute maximum was 100%, unlocking the full 100% of one's inherited information.
But what the hell was 102%?
Legacy information that surpassed one's own limits?
Shi Feng didn't dare dwell on it. Now that the legacy power had reached the required threshold, that was a good thing. Without hesitation, he clicked to accept and activate his Tier 4 legacy.
Yet in the very instant Shi Feng initiated the legacy, the three Dark Wyrmlings showed no intention of ceasing their assault. A pitch-black dragon claw, massive as a small mountain, swept through the air and hammered straight down toward Shi Feng, who was hovering mid-flight.

In the Legacy Grounds, activating one's Tier 4 legacy did not mean the Tier 4 class advancement quest was over. Only after receiving the legacy and leaving the Legacy Grounds was the quest truly considered complete.
If a player died in the Legacy Grounds after receiving the legacy, the quest would still be counted as a failure—forced out of the Legacy Grounds, stripped of the legacy entirely, and forced to start over from scratch.
Shi Feng watched the dragon claw plummeting toward him. There was no room left to dodge, and he had no remaining mental energy to execute a simplified version of Holy Devourance. All he could do was cross both swords in front of him to brace for the impact.
BOOM!
With a thunderous crash, Shi Feng's entire body was sent hurtling downward like a cannonball, slamming into the ground—an expanse of rock as large as half a soccer field. The hard stone surface fractured crack by crack upon impact, and Shi Feng's lower body was buried halfway into the shattered rock. The tremendous force left both his arms numb with pain, and he could not stop himself from coughing up a mouthful of fresh blood.
Meanwhile, the Void Shield enveloping his body sprouted crack after crack…
"Thank goodness the Void Shield was there to absorb the damage. Without it, that hit would've cost me at least a fifth of my HP," Shi Feng thought, silently counting his blessings as he examined the fractured shield.
Even with the Dark Wyrmlings' home-field advantage, even with the Sigh of the Holy Dragon to suppress them, the gap in raw power between Shi Feng and the wyrmlings remained enormous. His only option was to activate burst skills for a fighting chance.
However, just as Shi Feng staggered to his feet and braced for the next attack, the Void Shield's duration quietly ticked to zero. The barrier around his body shattered in an instant, dissolving into countless motes of starlight. The speed boost it had granted him vanished as well, leaving him to rely solely on his normal speed to evade the Dark Wyrmlings' attacks.
"Foolish human, your last trump card is gone. Even if you've activated your legacy now, you won't leave here alive!" The lead Dark Wyrmling gazed down at Shi Feng from midair, making no rush to attack. Instead, a trace of mockery flickered in its golden eyes.
"So it really was too much to hope for?"
Shi Feng did not rise to the Dark Wyrmling's taunts. He simply stood in silence, staring at the three young dragons hovering above him.
His original plan had been to activate his legacy and then, using his survival skills, rush back up toward the surface of the abyss—reducing the suppression the Bottomless Chasm exerted on him. He could flee while simultaneously studying the legacy he had obtained. But he had never expected that absorbing the legacy power would consume so much time, burning through every last one of his burst and survival cooldowns.
His mental state had even been pushed to its absolute limit—to the point where simply collapsing on the ground right now would not be the least bit surprising.
And although he had unlocked his Tier 4 legacy through the absorbed power, attempting to study the Tier 4 legacy in his current state against three Dark Wyrmlings was nothing short of a fool's dream.
Tier 4 legacies in the Divine Realm varied in difficulty. Generally, the more powerful the legacy, the harder it was to learn. Shi Feng didn't know exactly how difficult a legacy like the Sword Saint's was, but drawing on his experience from his previous life, he knew the basics.
After activating a Tier 4 legacy, a player had only a short one-hour window to study the knowledge contained within it. Learning even a single technique was enough to count as having obtained the Tier 4 legacy.
Yet in his previous life, even after spending the full hour, he had failed to learn a single technique from a high-tier Tier 4 legacy. Meanwhile, the Tier 4 experts throughout the Divine Realm typically only barely managed to master one technique right as the timer was about to expire. The current record holder for Tier 4 legacy acquisition had still needed nearly half an hour to master just one legacy skill.
