Ancient secret realm, Lightcast City.
With a flash of brilliant light, Shi Feng and the others appeared one by one in the center of a massive plaza.
The plaza was enormous, easily three or four times the size of a stadium. Lined throughout were statues standing six or seven meters tall, each one different from the last. Some depicted armored warriors radiating fearless bravery, others showed mages clutching staves, and still others portrayed rangers in leather armor with bows slung over their backs. Each statue exuded an astonishing aura, as if they were alive. There were well over a hundred of them, making the entire place look like a plaza built specifically to display statues.
The newcomers were utterly stunned by the sight.
" this ancient city is truly incredible. Just the statues in the teleportation plaza alone would be enough to drive the top players in the outside world crazy." Shi Feng looked at the statues one after another and couldn't help but remark.
The statues might have looked ordinary, but each one contained a basic combat technique inheritance suited to a particular class.
In the current Divine Realm, combat techniques were well known among players, yet those who could actually learn them were still a small minority—especially among free players.
But here in Lightcast City, these basic combat technique inheritances were displayed as if they cost nothing. Players could go and learn them whenever they wanted, and they were the most suitable basic techniques for each class. The sheer scale of it was truly astonishing.
Even the most basic combat techniques required other major powers' members to spend a certain amount of resources and contributions to learn, and they could only learn each one once. Yet here in this plaza, anyone could learn them freely…
Moreover, beyond the statues, the magic density throughout Lightcast City was incredibly rich. Even just practicing in the arena within the city would yield far faster improvement than training outside.
"The magic here feels so special. I feel like if I could train here for a long time, I might be able to unlock my magic body even further," Ziyan Liuyun couldn't help but say excitedly in the team chat.
"Agreed. I actually feel a much stronger sense of control over magic here. If we make good use of it, it really could push the magic body unlocking to the next level." Watercolor Rose nodded as well.
It wasn't just Ziyan Liuyun and Watercolor Rose who noticed. Everyone present had sensed that peculiar feeling of magic control in Lightcast City, and their eyes lit up one after another.
For the Violet Sword's Silent Scarlet Star and Wildfire Rampage, nothing was more tempting than unlocking the magic body as quickly as possible—or rather, this was what all the superpowers had always wanted most.
As for Zui Yan and the others from the Azure Commerce Alliance, breaking through the 100% barrier was something they had been craving. The combat power difference between someone who had broken through with their magic body and someone who hadn't was enormous, and this had already been fully demonstrated by Ziyan Liuyun.
But breaking through the 100% barrier was incredibly difficult—they didn't even have a clear direction. Now, the magic here had given them a clue, something money could never buy.
This left Zui Yan and the others from the Azure Commerce Alliance feeling quite envious of Zero Wing and the Violet Sword. Zero Wing and the Violet Sword's people could stay in Lightcast City as long as they wanted, but the Azure Commerce Alliance only had a little over two days left to train here.
Yan Xiaoqian, Gu Han, and the others couldn't help but want to sit down right then and thoroughly experience the magic. After all, who knew when they would get another chance to come here.
"There's still plenty of time before the alchemy array expires. Let's go check out the City Lord's Manor first. There will be time to train after that." Shi Feng looked at Yan Xiaoqian and the others who were about to sit down and start channeling magic, and spoke up with a smile.
"That makes sense." Yan Xiaoqian thought about it and decided Shi Feng was right, then put aside the idea of training first.
The special sensation of magic control in the ancient city was merely an added bonus. The real value lay in the City Lord's Manor, where one could exchange for all sorts of special items unique to the ancient city—items that could only be obtained with contribution points.
None of them had more than five hundred contribution points each. It would be a real waste not to spend them.
Afterward, Shi Feng and the group walked along Lightcast City's main avenue for over two hours before arriving at the City Lord's Manor, which towered five or six hundred meters into the sky.
At the manor's entrance, dozens of knights stood guard, each holding uniform weapons and wearing matching armor. Not only were all of them level 180 Third Class professionals, but their life force was astonishingly powerful—almost like primordial species. The aura they radiated was comparable to Fourth Class Legendary monsters.
The leading Knight Commander was a genuine Fourth Class professional. Simply standing there, he made Shi Feng and the others feel a wave of pressure.
