The sudden appearance of the open area atop the altar instantly plunged the Violet Sword and Azure Commerce members present into stunned silence.

"She... had been holding back this entire time?" Yuan Xiaoqian stared at Miaowuyin on the altar, unable to believe what she was seeing.

She had already unlocked the Mana Body. In her mind, she had caught up to Miaowuyin and even surpassed her — after all, in terms of combat proficiency, Miaowuyin had only just entered the Void Realm, while she herself was only half a step away from mastering Domain. Perhaps a single flash of insight would be enough for her to step into that realm.

But now...

"Is everyone in Zero Wing a monster?" Fuguang stared at Ziyan Liuyun and Miaowuyin, who had completely merged into a state of unrivaled perfection, his heart filled with shock.

The three Trial Elites on the altar alone had been enough to keep him on the defensive, yet here were Ziyan Liuyun and Miaowuyin, facing hundreds of Trial Warriors and Trial Elites and completely dominating the fight. Not a single enemy could so much as set foot within thirty yards of them. Their strength was simply unbelievable.

In truth, even coaches Silent Star and Kuanghuo Kuangzhan couldn't compare — or rather, the two sides simply weren't on the same level...

"Good! Everyone, get into their domain now!"

Watercolor Rose showed no surprise whatsoever at the power displayed by Ziyan Liuyun and Miaowuyin. She immediately ordered everyone to charge into the safe zone the two had carved out.

Only after Watercolor Rose spoke did the Violet Sword and Azure Commerce members snap out of their daze, scrambling to follow the Zero Wing members into the thirty-yard radius around Ziyan Liuyun and Miaowuyin.

In an instant, the entire group, shielded by the covering fire of Ziyan Liuyun and Miaowuyin's attacks, began closing in on the Ancient Lich. The Trial Warriors and Trial Elites couldn't deal even a sliver of damage to anyone within the protected area, as if everyone were wrapped in an invisible magical barrier.

"As expected — both of them have reached an extremely high level in the Transcendent state. Every single magic blade carries a combat technique woven into it. It's as though they've integrated ordinary techniques into the very core of their being," Zuiyan murmured in admiration, watching the blades streak through the air.

"Integrated combat techniques into every magic blade? How is that even possible?" Yuan Xiaoqian couldn't believe what she was hearing.

Normally, executing a single combat technique was difficult enough. Using multiple techniques simultaneously was exponentially harder, let alone embedding them into every single magic blade — that was simply beyond human capability.

"And yet they've both done it. Every movement they make carries the nuance of ordinary combat techniques, as natural as breathing." Zuiyan looked at the disbelieving Yuan Xiaoqian and smiled bitterly. "And it's not just the two of them in Zero Wing. I have no idea what methods Black Flame used, but he's somehow managed to nurture an entire squad of monsters."

While Zuiyan and Yuan Xiaoqian were talking, the group, guided by Ziyan Liuyun and Miaowuyin, had quickly closed to within fifty yards of the Ancient Lich.

But as they drew closer and closer to the boss, the magic blades cast by Ziyan Liuyun and Miaowuyin grew increasingly transparent — clearly, they wouldn't last much longer before vanishing. The tension in the group spiked.

Getting closer to the boss was a good thing, but the number of Trial Elites far exceeded their expectations.

If those magic blades disappeared, they would have absolutely no way of withstanding the onslaught of the trial monsters.

"Everyone, converge on the boss! Focus all attacks on the boss! Banxia and I will cover the rear!" Watercolor Rose saw that the magic blades were about to vanish and stepped to the very back of the formation, calling out in party chat.

"Wha—?" Everyone froze.

True, the altar steps were only fifty or sixty yards wide — well within range of the ranged magical classes — but facing the assault of thousands of trial monsters, forget about two people; even a hundred would struggle to hold the line.

Under normal circumstances, the main body of the group should find a way to block the trial monsters while a small contingent of top players dealt with the boss together.

Once the monsters had been washed off the steps, Banxia Qingcheng, standing beside her, completed her own incantation and conjured a barrier of lightning across the steps, sealing the trial monsters out completely.

This lightning barrier could halt the monsters' advance, but it couldn't block their attacks. In an instant, every trial monster launched arrows at Watercolor Rose and Banxia Qingcheng.

Thousands of arrows rained down like a storm, enough to make anyone's scalp tingle just looking at them. But Watercolor Rose and Banxia Qingcheng moved like butterflies threading through a field of flowers — not a single petal touched their skin — and not a single arrow found its mark...

Fuguang watched as Watercolor Rose and Banxia Qingcheng held back thousands of trial monsters, his jaw practically on the floor.

At that moment, not just Fuguang — even Guhan and Yuan Xiaoqian, who had spent considerable time alongside Zero Wing, wore expressions of utter shock, as though they were seeing the guild for the very first time.

"All right! Everyone, stop gawking. We need to help Guild Master Black Flame and the others take down the boss!" Silent Star recovered first and immediately addressed the team.

At his reminder, the Violet Sword and Azure Commerce members finally snapped back to reality. This was no time to stand around watching Watercolor Rose and Banxia Qingcheng — taking down the Ancient Lich was what mattered most.
