As the Dark World's massive army surged forward, Shi Feng stepped out and began chanting incantations. From afar, the dark female knight, Elder Jin, and the others who had been watching the battle were completely dumbfounded.
"He still plans to fight at a time like this?" the dark female knight stared at Shi Feng, who showed absolutely no sign of retreating, her heart filled with disbelief.
The gap in combat power was painfully obvious. This was no longer the kind of force that any single faction could hope to withstand.
Yet Shi Feng's posture clearly indicated he intended to keep fighting — it was utterly incomprehensible.
They had done their homework on Zero Wing. Dark Fantasy had conducted a thorough investigation through the superpowers, and they knew many of Zero Wing's tricks. One of them was a domain treasure that could create an independent world — the Ring of the Gospel. This domain suppression was genuinely terrifying in large-scale battles. Not only was its range enormous, but the suppression effect itself was formidable — truly a god-tier weapon for guild warfare.
But on the current battlefield, this domain treasure would likely have very limited effect. After all, the enemies were all Tier 3 NPCs and Tier 4 combatants — monsters with extremely high resistance to this kind of domain suppression.
Moreover, the number of Tier 4 monsters exceeded fifty. Even with the suppression in place, over a thousand Tier 3 NPCs wouldn't be able to hold them off at will, let alone the three-thousand-plus Tier 3 NPC guards.
It wasn't just the dark female knight who was stunned. Junya and Purple Lightning Rakshasa, hidden in the distance and watching the whole time, were equally baffled.
"What exactly is this Black Flame thinking?"
"With so many Tier 4 combatants, over a thousand Tier 3 NPCs can't possibly hold them off. Is he really trying to fight to the bitter end — a mutual destruction gambit?"
They had originally come just to observe the Dark World. They never expected to witness a full-scale battle between Zero Wing and the Dark World.
And after seeing the combat power Zero Wing had displayed, they were deeply shaken. They hadn't imagined that Zero Wing could actually stand against an entire world's experts — and even intimidate every powerhouse in the Dark World. The guild's strength was simply staggering.
Thinking back, they felt somewhat relieved. Before all this, the Aurora Shelter had maintained a decent relationship with the First Shelter. After all, with the strength of Zero Wing's knight order, flattening the entire Dark Grotto would have been child's play.
But right now, what Zero Wing was facing was the real deal — Tier 3 NPCs and Tier 4 monsters. With such an overwhelming disparity in numbers and combat power, the wisest choice would have been to retreat immediately to Stone Forest City. After all, each of those Tier 3 NPCs represented a faction's most treasured assets and capital. Once dead, they were nearly impossible to revive. If they were all wiped out, everything the guild had accumulated over the years would go to waste.
This was precisely why the major factions of the Dark World had initially sent only players to fight. No faction would willingly deploy their core assets unless they had absolutely no other choice.
Zero Wing had already proven its strength to every major power. As long as word spread, those superpowers with designs on Stone Forest City would certainly back off. From then on, players in the Dark World wouldn't dare look down on Zero Wing, and they wouldn't casually provoke Zero Wing's members in the Cold Spring Great Forest either.
But if all of Zero Wing's Tier 3 NPCs were killed, then the guild would truly be finished.
Just as Junya and Purple Lightning Rakshasa were puzzling over the situation, the sky above the canyon plains suddenly changed.
In the previously cloudless sky, a phantom world gradually materialized. This illusory realm grew closer and larger with every passing moment. In less than two or three seconds, it had enveloped the entire battlefield — and not just the combatants, but even the onlookers watching from afar were caught within it.
The instant they were shrouded, both Junya and Purple Lightning Rakshasa felt as though they were completely at odds with the world around them — as though the entire world had become their enemy. Their Constitution was plummeting, and their basic attributes kept dropping, again and again.
And it wasn't just Tier 3 experts like Junya and Purple Lightning Rakshasa. The Tier 3 guards and Tier 4 monsters that had been charging toward Shi Feng and the others suddenly slowed, the auras around their bodies visibly and drastically weakened.
"What did he just do?" From afar, the dark female knight watched the Tier 4 monsters and Tier 3 NPCs on the battlefield being utterly suppressed, her jaw dropping open.
