The free players of Demon City were utterly dumbfounded by Shi Feng's brazen assault in the Heart of Demons' plaza. They never imagined he would actually dare to do it — and without so much as a word of warning, no less — as though every single member of the Heart of Demons simply didn't exist.

Qing Shuang and her companions, who had been watching the scene through a magic mirror, were no less shell-shocked.

"Black Flame! You and Zero Wing are finished! You dare kill a player inside the Heart of Demons' headquarters — forget Vice Guild Leader Yanguang, even the Guild Leader himself will never let you go!" Elder Nuxin roared at Shi Feng, his voice shaking with rage.
He never anticipated that Shi Feng would strike the instant he said he would, without a shred of hesitation — so fast that he hadn't even had time to rush to Zhutian Luanshi's aid.
A guild headquarters was the most sacred ground a guild possessed.
If word got out that the Heart of Demons couldn't even protect a single person within their own headquarters, the faction would lose an enormous amount of face.
"Is that so?" Shi Feng glanced at Elder Nuxin and replied in an unhurried tone, "Then by all means, come after us. Zero Wing will take everything you've got. If you have no other business, I'll be on my way."
The moment those words left his mouth, the entire Heart of Demons' headquarters erupted.
"Arrogant! This kid is far too arrogant!"
"Elder Nuxin, let's attack him together! I refuse to believe we can't keep him here!"
Several of the guild elders present were incensed by Shi Feng's words. One after another, they turned to Elder Nuxin, pledging to bring Shi Feng down and hold him at the Heart of Demons' headquarters.
Zhutian Luanshi's death had already dealt a massive blow to the Heart of Demons' prestige. If they now let Shi Feng walk away unscathed, how could the faction ever hold its head high again?
"No! Let him… go!" Elder Nuxin glared at the seething crowd, gritting his teeth and waving his hand to signal that no one should make a move against Shi Feng.
Seeing that the Heart of Demons had no intention of attacking, Shi Feng turned on his heel and departed the headquarters, flying out of Demon City.
"Nuxin, you're really going to let him walk away?" the black-robed viscount elder at his side asked, watching Shi Feng's retreating figure with barely concealed frustration.
"You think I want to let him go?" Elder Nuxin shot back with a bitter glare. "But which of you has the strength to make him stay?"
Right now, the strongest fighter in all of Demon City was Defiant Thunder — and Defiant Thunder had already been killed by Shi Feng. What chance did the rest of them, who weren't even Demon Barons, have of going toe-to-toe with Shi Feng?
"Even so, don't we still have the Demon Guards? I refuse to believe that more than a dozen Tier 4 Demon Guards couldn't take him down!" the black-robed viscount elder pressed.
