As Shi Feng vanished via teleportation within the temple, the Demon God Phantom grew even more furious.
"You think you can escape from me, Atalok?"
The Demon God Phantom narrowed its eyes, its gaze turning directly toward a primeval jungle to the south of the temple. With a single wave of its hand, a spatial portal suddenly appeared before it. The Phantom stepped through in one stride, vanishing from the temple entirely.
In an instant, only Anna and the other direct subordinates remained inside the temple, along with the structure itself as it gradually began to dissipate. Outside the temple, the assembled players stood with their jaws dropped, unable to believe that Shi Feng had actually succeeded — accomplishing something that none of the major powers on the Western Continent had been able to achieve.
Though it had required a bug-like exploit, such methods were themselves proof of one's strength.
What no one had anticipated, however, was that the Demon God Phantom would be able to break through to Tier 5...
Given the Phantom's combat power at Tier 4, reaching Tier 5 would make it a truly invincible existence. Forget destroying a kingdom — toppling an entire empire would likely be no difficult feat.
And breaking through to Tier 5 would have been one thing, but to then leave the temple and hunt down players? How was anyone supposed to deal with that?
"Commander, let's pull back too! If that Demon God gets here, we're all dead for sure." Lei Shou watched the Demon God Phantom step through the spatial portal and hurriedly called out to Hellhowl.
At this point, let alone Shi Feng reminding them to flee quickly — even without the reminder, they could already tell how dangerous it would be to stay.
"Retreat!"
Hearing this, Hellhowl sighed and cast a glance toward the southern jungle. Although Shi Feng had obtained the treasure, being chased by a Tier 5 Demon God Phantom meant certain death with absolutely zero chance of survival.
The fury of a Tier 5 Demon God would be absolutely catastrophic, and with its spatial teleportation abilities, even a Tier 5 dragon probably couldn't escape.
While Hellhowl and the others began retreating toward the entrance to the second floor of the Star Tomb, Shi Feng — who had already left the temple using a Tier 3 Teleport Scroll — activated his Power of Collapse, directly elevating himself to a Tier 4 Class to travel through the air. He flew toward the Star Tomb's exit at blistering speed, fast enough to rival any flying mount.
But before Shi Feng had even covered two thousand yards, a spatial portal suddenly materialized in midair, and the Demon God Atoloch appeared directly before his eyes.
"Teleported straight here?"
Staring at the Demon God Phantom hovering in the sky, Shi Feng was rendered speechless. He hadn't expected the phantom to be this relentless.
Normally, once a player left the temple, the Demon God Phantom should have stopped its pursuit. But now it was not only still chasing him — it was using direct teleportation to do so…
"Thief! You dare steal my treasure? I will make your soul vanish from this world forever!" The Demon God Phantom glared at Shi Feng and, without another word, began chanting a spell.
In an instant, the sky began to crack apart, and endless flames descended, blanketing an area with a radius of three to four thousand yards.
Fifth-Tier Forbidden Spell — World-Ending Flames!
This was originally a spell that a fifth-tier Holy Archmage would need more than ten seconds to cast, yet in the hands of the Demon God Phantom, it had become instantaneous.
And within the vast range of the World-Ending Flames, even a third-tier teleportation scroll would be unable to teleport far enough to escape.
