The overhaul of the entire Temple's rules made Shi Feng's Direct Guard Summon possible. In the blink of an eye, a summoning magic circle materialized before him, and from it stepped a woman with golden hair draped in a deep crimson, ornate robe.
With her arrival, the previously frozen mana and terrifying divine pressure in the surroundings subtly loosened, granting Shi Feng—who had barely been able to move—a measure of relief.
"This Direct Guard's level is absurdly high!" Leviathan gazed at the summoned Anna and couldn't help but let out an exclamation of astonishment.
Anna had already reached Level 119, making her easily the highest-level Direct Guard he had ever seen. Even the strongest Direct Guards of their Netherworld Empire topped out at merely Level 115.
It might seem like only a four-level difference, but the gap in accumulated experience points across those four levels was staggering.
"What is he thinking? Does he intend to throw this Direct Guard away?" Hell Howl stared at the summoned Anna, his voice tinged with disbelief.
He hadn't expected Shi Feng to be this reckless!
Anna's level was impressively high at 119, but the Demon God Phantom stood at Level 120. That single level alone constituted a minor watershed—and more critically, Anna was only Tier 3, while the Demon God Phantom was Tier 4. Going up against a Tier 4 opponent as a Tier 3 was practically suicide.
She wouldn't even qualify as a delay tactic. The Demon God Phantom would annihilate her in an instant.
However, before Hell Howl and the others could finish speaking, Anna had already begun chanting. Moments later, a triple-layered magic circle bloomed in mid-air within the vast Temple, radiating brilliant golden light that instantly illuminated the dim interior of the Star Tomb.
A pillar of golden holy light descended from the circle, and within it, a figure gradually took shape—a woman with three pairs of pristine white wings, clad in silver-white armor.
"Impossible! A Tier 4 High-Rank War Angel!"
The members of the Hell Legion stared at the War Angel with eyes full of disbelief.
War Angels were something Western Continent players knew well. During large-scale monster sieges, major NPC cities would summon them to battle the monster hordes—they were the ultimate trump cards of great NPC settlements.
High-Rank War Angels possessed a life form that rivaled the dragon race itself, making them virtually invincible among beings of the same tier.
Previously, when dragons had attacked a frontier city, the High Priest of the War God Temple had summoned a High-Rank War Angel to fight alongside him, and together they forced the Dark Dragon to retreat.
And now Shi Feng had summoned a High-Rank War Angel—even if it was through a Direct Guard—it was enough to send shockwaves across the entire Western Continent.
After all, this was a Tier 4 High-Rank War Angel, a being far more powerful than heroes of the same level. Leveling an entire city would pose no difficulty at all. And unlike dragons, which were confined to a single fortress, this High-Rank War Angel could be taken anywhere…
"How many cards does he have hidden up his sleeve?" Hell Howl gazed at the High-Rank War Angel, utterly at a loss for words.
Exceptional mana control, formidable personal combat strength, and a High-Rank War Angel that could be summoned at will—Shi Feng alone was practically an entire army.
If those superpowers planning to ambush Shi Feng in secret knew about this, they would probably lose the will to live.
With the High-Rank War Angel's appearance, Shi Feng activated the Miniature World of the Gospel Ring along with the Ring of Radiance. In an instant, the world projection descended, pressing down upon the Demon God Phantom, while the Ring of Radiance further boosted the War Angel's attributes.
"A High-Rank War Angel and a world projection?" Demon God Aterlock regarded the War Angel with a glimmer of appreciation in his gaze, as though examining an amusing toy. "It seems you, this adventurer, have a few tricks after all. Unfortunately, none of these things are of any use against my phantom clone!"
As Aterlock finished speaking, the world projection pressing down upon him was halted more than a hundred yards away, unable to advance a single step further.
"Even the Miniature World's projection can't suppress him?" Shi Feng watched the Demon God remain entirely unaffected and felt a twinge of surprise. "As expected of a god's phantom—truly not easy to deal with."
He had always known a god's phantom couldn't be treated like an ordinary NPC. He had merely hoped the Miniature World could provide some measure of suppression, but forget about suppressing—the projection couldn't even envelop him.
Nevertheless, Shi Feng had long since prepared for this. The Hero's Ancient Tome in his hand was already ready.
In the next instant, a pillar of light erupted from within the Temple, soaring straight toward the heavens. From within it emerged a knight dressed in white, bearing a golden-patterned holy sword.
Arthret. Hero. Tier 4 Holy Sword Knight. Level 131. Hit Points: 112 million.
This was Shi Feng's greatest confidence in challenging the Demon God.
A Tier 4 Hero might pale in life form compared to the Demon God Phantom, but at Level 131, that towering level was more than enough to offset many of the Demon God Phantom's advantages.
With the Tier 4 Hero Arthret's appearance, every member of the Hell Legion in attendance stood frozen in shock.
One Tier 4 High-Rank War Angel. One Tier 4 Hero. This was a force capable of obliterating heaven and earth!
"Attack!"
Shi Feng looked at Arthret and issued his command without a moment's hesitation.
