As the massive Starlight Colossus crashed to the ground, every member of the Silver Lion Legion saw their experience bar surge. The experience gained was even more generous than what a hundred-man squad would earn from killing a Legendary monster—some players on the scene leveled up on the spot, jumping straight to Level 106.
"It's already dead?"
The fall of the Starlight Colossus left everyone in the Silver Lion Legion still engaged in combat utterly stunned.
No one had expected that a Level 113 Legendary Domain Lord could be dispatched so easily. They almost got the impression that taking down the Starlight Colossus had been even simpler than killing a Level 110 High Great Lord.
But everyone present was an elite among the Silver Lion Legion. They understood perfectly well that it wasn't that the Starlight Colossus was weak—it was that Shi Feng and the others were simply too strong, too monstrous.
As the Starlight Colossus died, its body began to dissolve into countless motes of starlight that scattered into the air. Then, one after another, beams of golden light erupted outward and rained down across the surroundings.
When the scattered lights touched the ground, they transformed into gleaming, golden items—and each one radiated dense magical power. Some even drew the ambient magic toward them involuntarily, pulling it in like a vortex.
In an instant, the area where the Starlight Colossus had fallen became a zone saturated with concentrated mana.
"Holy crap! These drops are insane!"
"A Legendary Domain Lord is something else entirely. The Level 100 Legendary monsters our Silver Lion Legion killed before probably didn't even drop half this much—and these items turned the whole area into a mana zone! That's absolutely ridiculous!"
Everyone stared at the carpet of loot scattered around the Colossus's remains, eyes practically bulging out of their heads.
It wasn't as though they'd never seen Legendary boss drops before. Some of them had even witnessed the spoils from World-class boss kills.
But having drops so rich that they formed an actual mana zone? That was a first.
Even without the ability to appraise the items, anyone could judge their value from the sheer density of magical power alone. The few items that were actively drawing ambient mana inward had to be at least Epic-grade—Dark Gold items could never accomplish that.
Epic-grade items above Level 100!
The Silver Lion Legion had struggled mightily to kill a Level 100 Legendary monster before, and they'd only gotten lucky enough to have a single Epic-grade drop. Now the Starlight Colossus had not only dropped three of them but also over twenty more items with extremely high magical density. Based on their experience, those were almost certainly Dark Gold-grade items.
Level 110 Dark Gold gear. For players who hadn't even reached Level 110 yet, that was practically on par with Epic-grade weapons and armor above Level 100.
After all, Dark Gold items could be fitted with level-reduction gems. The gems that lowered gear requirements to below Level 100 were rare, sure, but compared to the Dark Gold equipment itself, the gems' value was far lower.
If you could equip a full suit of Level 110 Dark Gold gear at Level 105, even a Tier 2 class expert's stats wouldn't fall far short of a Tier 3 class at Level 105.
And if a Tier 3 player put on that full set? Forget about fighting a Level 110 High Great Lord—even going toe-to-toe with a Level 110 Legendary monster would be manageable. It would be nothing short of a minor god-tier set.
Macafrey and the other senior members of the Divine Tribe's guild watched with undisguised envy.
Right now, the Divine Tribe didn't even own a single piece of Level 110 Dark Gold equipment. They barely had any Level 100 Dark Gold gear to speak of.
As for Epic-grade weapons and armor above Level 100—don't even get them started.
