"Guild Leader, do you know someone in there?" Waterlily Rose looked at Shi Feng's low murmur and asked curiously.
The Western Continent was incredibly unfamiliar to players like them who lived on the Eastern Continent. Normally, the distance between two continents wouldn't be as great as the distance between plane worlds, but in the Divine Realm, the two continents might as well have been completely isolated from one another.
Not only was information between the two continents cut off, but the cultural differences were enormous as well.
Even the same Class felt like an entirely different one — the combat styles were completely different.
On the Eastern Continent, combat mainly combined magic skills with combat techniques, supplemented by mana manipulation. On the Western Continent, combat mainly combined mana manipulation with magic skills, supplemented by combat techniques.
Beyond the differences in combat, the greatest disparity came from the entirely different management styles of kingdoms and empires.
On the Eastern Continent, kingdoms and empires managed NPC cities through their royal and imperial armies. But on the Western Continent, NPC cities were managed by the Adventurer's Guild. The royal and imperial armies served only one purpose — maintaining the security of the kingdom and empire borders and holding off the main forces of the monster armies.
Because monsters were extremely numerous on the Western Continent, it was perfectly normal for these monster armies to invade kingdoms and empires. They would even launch attacks on towns every few days — far more frequent than the occasional monster sieges on the Eastern Continent. Border towns, in particular, would be occupied by monsters from time to time.
If they weren't reclaimed, the area players could live in would shrink dramatically. But at the same time, the more monster-held towns were reclaimed, the wider the range players could operate in. There were no particularly well-defined neutral maps — the borders of kingdoms and empires were in a constant state of flux.
Because of this, the Western Continent was also known as the Monster Continent. Kingdom-level and empire-level wars were far more common than on the Eastern Continent, and it wasn't strange at all for a kingdom to vanish and then reappear.
If someone familiar with the Western Continent could help them, it would save them a great deal of trouble. After all, conditions on the Western Continent were always shifting, and players who weren't familiar with the Western Continent would likely find it very hard to get by here.
"Not exactly someone I know well — we've just met," Shi Feng said, looking at Yuan Xiaoqian on the mine below as she directed others and fought at the same time, and shook his head.
His acquaintance with Yuan Xiaoqian had come entirely from the two major families of the Azure Commerce Association competing in an alchemy contest. They had barely exchanged a few words.
He had heard that the Azure Commerce Association had brought Yuan Xiaoqian back to the Western Continent for focused cultivation. He hadn't expected to run into her here.
By now, Yuan Xiaoqian had already become a Tier 3 grand mage at level 106. Much of her equipment was Gold-grade at the level 105 tier, and the purple crystal scepter in her hand radiated an Epic-grade halo — clearly an Epic-grade staff above level 100. This set of weapons and equipment was absolutely top-tier by current standards.
Moreover, compared to when they had last met, Yuan Xiaoqian's mana manipulation had improved by more than just a little. Her Tier 3 magic completion rate could reach over 95%, and the magical power she could unleash was enough to contend with High Lord-class monsters of the same level.
As Shi Feng and the others hovered in midair, silently observing the battle at the mining field, the players fighting in the mine simultaneously caught sight of the group in the distance.
"Who are those people? Don't they know this is a dispute between our Azure Commerce Association and the Divine Will Tribe?" A Tier 3 Battle King elder of the Azure Commerce Association looked at Shi Feng and his party atop the Thunder Eagle and furrowed his thick brows.
Tier 3 Classes were not to be underestimated by any of the Divine Realm's major powers. He could see at a glance that Shi Feng and the others were all Tier 3 Class holders, which posed a significant threat to ordinary forces.
But for a superpower like the Azure Commerce Association or the Divine Will Tribe, it was nothing at all.
And on the Western Continent, when two major powers clashed, the most annoying thing was outside parties butting in.
Because no one could guarantee that these people weren't watching from the sidelines, waiting to swoop in and take advantage. So both sides in any dispute would always deal with this problem first before continuing their conflict.
The Azure Commerce Association and the Divine Will Tribe were two of the Western Continent's superpowers — virtually everyone on the continent knew them. Yet here were people recklessly showing up as if they had a death wish.
"Black Flame! What's he doing here?" Yuan Xiaoqian glanced at Shi Feng and his group in midair, and a look of astonishment crossed her face. "Shouldn't he be active over on the Eastern Continent?"
Her memory of Shi Feng was vivid, to say the least. After all, it had been because of Zero Wing that she had lost to Miao Wuyin in the Azure Commerce Association's alchemy competition, missing her chance to lead the family in dominating the Association.
