"Guild Leader Iron Bones?"
Iron Bones Canxin's words and dazed expression left the Tier 3 experts from the various powers filing in behind him completely bewildered.
They had no idea what was wrong with him.
So what if they were Tier 3 NPCs?
What was there to make a fuss about? Which of the major powers' guild cities didn't have Tier 3 NPCs these days?
Sure, Tier 3 NPCs were powerful — not something they could handle individually — but with their combined strength, they could fight even a Level 100 Legendary boss. An NPC of only Tier 3 shouldn't be anything to get worked up over.
However, once the Tier 3 experts from the various powers walked up to Iron Bones Canxin's side, every one of them was left speechless.
"What on earth is going on?"
"Why are there so many Tier 3 NPCs here?"
At that moment, nearly two hundred NPCs stood in two perfectly aligned rows outside the city gate passage, all clad in uniform jet-black armor. Each one radiated a terrifying presence that made the group's hearts clench with dread. At their head stood a Tier 3 knight captain whose oppressive aura alone made it hard for anyone to breathe.
And the moment they appeared, those Tier 3 NPCs turned their gazes toward them, sending a bone-deep chill through their entire bodies.
"They're not going to attack, are they?" a Tier 3 Assassin said, staring nervously at the Tier 3 NPC knights. "We haven't done anything."
In the wild and across major cities, their Tier 3 classes made them formidable, and their numbers approached a full hundred-man raid team. Out in the open, even superpowers would think twice before crossing them.
But with nearly two hundred Tier 3 NPCs standing right there, he didn't have a shred of confidence.
Just as the Tier 3 experts from the various powers were growing increasingly tense and on edge, a voice suddenly rang out with a shout.
"What are you all standing there for? That's the city entrance and exit — loitering is not permitted!"
As the shout echoed through the gateway, Iron Bones Canxin and the others finally snapped back to reality, each turning to look at the player who had dared to yell at them.
The speaker was a Level 102, Tier 2 Berserker bearing the
"What, you're thinking about making a move right here?" The Tier 2 Berserker sensed the killing intent radiating from Iron Bones Canxin and his group, and a grin spread across his face.
In that instant, the Tier 3 NPC knights lined up at the gate drew their weapons in unison, their cold eyes fixed on Iron Bones Canxin and the others as they watched their every move. The horrifying pressure they radiated more than doubled.
"This kid…" A Tier 3 Ranger radiating a thick aura of blood glared at the brazen Tier 2 warrior with barely contained fury. But glancing at the Tier 3 NPCs who were subtly readying themselves to act, his scalp tingled with unease. "If this were out in the wild, I'd teach him a lesson he'd never forget in seconds!"
As a Dark Player, he had killed countless experts out in the field — dozens of top-tier players from first-rate guilds and even experts from the superpowers had fallen to his hand, all of whom had given him a wide berth.
Now he was being brushed off like he was nothing by a mere Tier 2 warrior. It was an absolute humiliation!
"Enough. Let's move inside — this is no place to start something." Iron Bones Canxin glanced at the Tier 3 NPC knights who were staring daggers at them and quietly urged restraint.
They had close to a hundred Tier 3 experts among them, but if a fight broke out here, they would probably be wiped out in less than a minute. After all, they had only recently advanced to Tier 3. Their weapons, equipment, and Tier 3 magical skills were all far from complete — no match for Tier 3 NPCs at all.
"Smart of you to back down! Remember, this is
