The moment
The sight was simply too shocking.
Forget the Blood War and Star Ring experts present — even the members of Blade of the Heavens stood with their jaws hanging open.
They knew exactly how terrifying the mechanical army inside the inner corridor was. Just being chased by those machines had already dealt them devastating losses. Forcing a breakthrough through them would have cost several times more.
Yet Shi Feng and three others had not only forced their way through, they had sent a whole flock of mechanical puppets flying out behind them. It was utterly inconceivable.
"Black Flame!"
Ever since Shi Feng had killed him once at the Dragon Phoenix Pavilion, his authority within Blood War had been completely eroded.
If not for the fact that his abilities and strength were still formidable — and that he was a shareholder — he might have lost the Guild Master position altogether. Blood War was not some ordinary adventurer guild; it was an organization bankrolled by a powerful consortium, where a single Guild Master's word was not law.
Among those present, Blood Oath was not the only one fixated on Shi Feng. The Four Ghost Demons of Star Ring were all staring hard at him, practically itching for a fight — and there was not a trace of Ziwei, the leader of Blade of the Heavens, in their eyes. Shi Feng alone had captured their full attention.
"I didn't expect to run into this kid here,"
He had witnessed Shi Feng's extraordinary stats more than once, so watching the four of them emerge from the inner corridor so effortlessly didn't surprise him in the least. If anything, it stoked his fighting spirit. His strength had undergone a seismic transformation since reaching Tier 3. If Shi Feng had advanced to Tier 3 and somehow grown weaker than before, that would have been the real disappointment.
"Leave it to us. We thought we might never get the chance to use what we've been practicing, but if he's here, that couldn't be better!" Wind Demon was grinning as he looked at Shi Feng, just as eager.
The last time Shi Feng had defeated the Four Ghost Demons, it had been entirely on the strength of his powerful attributes and burst skills. In terms of actual combat technique, he was no match for them. Now that they had all stepped into Tier 3 and their bodies had unlocked a new level of freedom — not to mention the battle formation they had learned — Shi Feng was, without question, the ideal test subject.
"Sword Demon, I'm afraid I cannot let you have this one. He must die by my own hand!" Blood Oath watched the Sword Shadow Quartet preparing to move and interjected with an icy voice.
The humiliation Shi Feng had inflicted on him could only be reclaimed by killing him personally. Otherwise, his authority within Blood War would never be restored.
"Guild Master Blood Oath, I'm afraid I'll have to decline!" Sword Demon's brow furrowed slightly as he flatly refused.
His obsession with Shi Feng was no less intense than Blood Oath's. Handing Shi Feng over on a platter? He would never agree to something like that.
The scene left every member of Blade of the Heavens dumbstruck.
"Holy crap — how much of a grudge does Black Flame actually have against these two?" Hulao muttered, watching Blood Oath and Sword Demon refuse to yield to each other.
Blood War and Star Ring had joined forces to take down Blade of the Heavens, yet Shi Feng's arrival had somehow turned the two allies against each other — they had even forgotten Blade of the Heavens existed entirely.
If word of this got out, nobody would believe it.
But before the argument between Blood Oath and Sword Demon could go any further, the Guardian Demon Soldier — which had fallen from the stone pillar and risen back to its feet — charged straight at Shi Feng without a word.
The iron-bodied Guardian Demon Soldier was now blazing with deep-green runes all over its body. The surrounding mana surged frantically inward, forming the eye of a violent magical storm. Its aura was climbing by the second, and the sword gashes that had marred its frame were repaired in the blink of an eye.
"That's not good! The Guardian Demon Soldier has gone berserk!" Hulao's face changed drastically as the creature bore down on them like a god of war descended upon the battlefield.
The Guardian Demon Soldier was only a Level 107 High Grand Lord, but once it entered its berserk state, even their Guild Master Ziwei would not dare stand in its way.
