"Unable to identify?"
Shi Feng's interest was piqued the moment he heard that. He couldn't help activating the Eye of Omniscience to appraise the ghostly white energy crystal before him.
With Master-level Appraisal in the Divine Realm, there was virtually nothing he couldn't identify — apart from certain special items.
Such items were generally of no low quality. At worst, they would be Epic-grade.
Three seconds… six seconds… ten seconds…
Time ticked by. The Eye of Omniscience continuously parsed the energy crystal, and even after fifteen seconds it still hadn't finished.
"What exactly is this thing?" Shi Feng felt a flash of surprise.
Through the Eye of Omniscience, fifteen seconds was more than enough to parse an Epic-grade item. Yet after a full fifteen seconds, the crystal still felt like it needed considerably more time before identification was complete.
The Eye of Omniscience's analysis time pushed past twenty-two seconds before the ghostly white energy crystal — which had displayed as "Unknown" the entire time — finally revealed its data.
Key of Magic. Epic-grade item. A key that unlocks the second floor of a Magic Temple found within lost ruins. Each use triggers a cooldown of one natural day.
Staring at the attribute information the Eye of Omniscience had uncovered, Shi Feng was completely stunned.
"Guild Leader, what is it?" Yan Tianxing noticed Shi Feng's shocked expression and couldn't help asking curiously.
"The Key of Magic! A secret key that opens the second floor of a Magic Temple!" Shi Feng stared at the ghostly white crystal in his hand, excitement flashing in his eyes. He was even beginning to wonder whether the S-rank evaluation reward had truly been a personal favor from Abergray — or whether it had actually been this Key of Magic all along.
"Magic Temple?" The others heard the name with blank expressions.
For all their experience in the Divine Realm, not a single one of them had ever heard the term before. But judging by Shi Feng's expression and tone, it was clearly somewhere extraordinary — yet they had never even heard of it.
"It's an incredible place to study magic," Shi Feng explained, barely able to contain his excitement. "And not just magic — it's also a superb place to study magic arrays. The efficiency of learning inside is two or three times what you'd get out here, at least."
The Magic Temple was a relic of ancient times, typically found in ruins or lost townships.
The place he had been headed for — where the teleportation magic gate was located — happened to be a crumbling ancient ruin. That ruin not only held a teleportation magic gate but also contained a Magic Temple. Back in the day, it had made every major superpower green with envy.
Inside the Magic Temple, players could freely study the knowledge stored within. Moreover, because these were spells and magic arrays dating back to the primordial era, even if they seemed somewhat archaic by modern standards, their value to players was utterly incomparable.
These spells and magic arrays were the originals — the very foundation of all magic. Extensive study of them could drastically elevate one's control over magic, which was why players had always pursued them with such fervor.
The Magic Temple consisted of three floors, and rumor had it that each floor was more terrifying than the last. From the second floor onward, however, the temple was sealed. Not even a Grandmaster of magic arrays could hope to break the seal — the only way in was with the proper key.
Shi Feng had never imagined that Ulnem would actually drop such a treasure.
It was simply unbelievable!
"Guild Leader, can you learn Tier 3 spells in the Magic Temple?" Hei Zi perked up at the mention, already growing restless with eagerness.
Tier 3 magic skills were extraordinarily rare. To date, they hadn't managed to drop a single Tier 3 magic skill book. The only Tier 3 spells they could cast were inherited ones. If they wanted to learn new Tier 3 magic skills, they had to find their own way.
