"Gold-grade Guards!"
"Are all of these Gold-grade Guards?!"
Yan Tianxing and the others stared at the twenty-eight guards standing behind Shi Feng, their eyes widening as they drew sharp breaths.
They knew full well what Gold-grade Guards meant. These were extraordinarily rare existences — so rare that even now, some first-rate guilds hadn't managed to acquire even a single one. Their scarcity was staggering; only the truly colossal superpowers might possess one or two at most.
Every Gold-grade Guard was a prized treasure among the great superpowers. After advancing to Tier 3 Classes, they were treated as a guild's ultimate hidden strength. Gold-grade Guards were simply that powerful — even at just Tier 2, they could suppress peak-level Tier 2 experts, and at Tier 3, the gap was even more absurd.
Yet here Shi Feng stood with a full twenty-eight Gold-grade Guards behind him. The sight was beyond anything they could have imagined.
"Guild Leader, you're insane! If these Gold-grade Guards showed up in the Cold Spring Great Forest, they'd scare the living daylights out of those superpowers," Hei Zi said, his eyes gleaming as he gazed at the guards.
Sure, their recent advancement to Tier 3 had sent shockwaves through the various superpowers, but compared to the twenty-eight Gold-grade Guards before them, that achievement was practically nothing.
These were Gold-grade Guards, after all!
Each one possessed the combat power to suppress a Tier 3 peak expert — they could even take on two opponents at once, let alone ordinary top-tier experts. Even if the great superpowers prided themselves on having experts in droves, and could advance them all to Tier 3, their sheer numbers would absolutely crush Zero Wing — that was the terrifying advantage of a superpower.
But if they had to face these twenty-eight Gold-grade Guards, even the great superpowers would need to think twice.
"Alright, let's focus on the mission first," Shi Feng said with an amused smile.
Twenty-eight Gold-grade Guards were certainly terrifying, but for a guild to truly grow powerful, it ultimately still depended on players and resources. After all, direct guards were just direct guards.
"Right! Let's do the mission! With these twenty-eight Gold-grade Guards, we can charge straight into the War Wolf den and farm to our hearts' content!" Ke Le exclaimed, his expression brimming with excitement as he looked at the war wolves sprawled across the ground.
Before, they had only dared to engage the war wolves one group at a time. But now, with these Gold-grade Guards, they could wade straight into the thick of them. Not only could they absorb a massive amount of magic power, but their leveling speed would skyrocket.
"No, we're not going there. We're heading into the inner zone of the Demon Wolf Mountain Range," Shi Feng said, shaking his head as he gazed at the endless chain of mountains in the distance.
The outer zone of the Demon Wolf Mountain Range did have plenty of war wolf packs, but the number of Great Lords among those monsters was rather limited, and the magic power they could absorb wasn't much. The inner zone of the Demon Wolf Mountain Range might be far more dangerous, but it had a much higher concentration of Great Lord-level monsters, meaning they could gather magic power far more quickly. They had already wasted two days, and collecting enough magic power within the remaining eight would be no easy feat.
"Guild Leader, that area is the territory of monsters above Level 110, and it's full of high-level Great Lords — there are even Legendary monsters lurking around," Yan Tianxing said with some concern.
After monsters crossed Level 100, each additional level brought a significant boost to their stats. Being five or six levels higher was one thing, but a ten-level gap was a completely different matter — it was like the difference of two minor tiers.
The monsters in the Demon Wolf Mountain Range were especially dangerous. Each one boasted combat power significantly above their counterparts in the outside world, and they moved in packs. Even Tier 3 players like themselves would be at serious risk. If they accidentally stumbled upon a pack of Level 110+ Legendary monsters, even with twenty-eight Gold-grade Guards, the danger would still be immense. After all, they themselves had only just reached Level 101, while their guards averaged around Level 103, with the strongest sitting at only Level 104.
"Don't worry — we'll only operate along the outermost edge," Shi Feng said. "Besides, I don't just have twenty-eight Gold-grade Guards."
With that, he pulled two Summoning Scrolls from his inventory and summoned Anna and Kate directly.
After completing a series of quests, Anna and Kate had reached Level 109 and Level 108 respectively — their levels were not far behind the monsters lurking in the inner zone of the Demon Wolf Mountain Range.
