"The current mainstream players haven't even reached Level 100 yet, and already there's a four-star shop. If the major superpowers from my previous life found out about this, they'd probably want to devour
A four-star shop promotion token was roughly as precious as a fragment of a Legendary item in the Divine Realm, but far more difficult to obtain. Even those superpowers rarely managed to get their hands on one. That alone spoke volumes about just how rare a four-star shop promotion token was.
Any faction that obtained one would never trade it away, not even for a Legendary item fragment.
That was because shops in the Divine Realm ranging from one-star to three-star were merely ordinary shops. Each star upgrade only brought incremental enhancements to functionality. But once a shop reached four stars, it entered the category of high-grade shops — a qualitative leap compared to three-star shops, much like the gap between a Tier 2 Class and a Tier 3 Class. The two were simply not on the same level.
A four-star shop would not only receive further strengthening of its original features but would also gain two additional functions.
The first was the Research Workshop!
This was a tremendous boost for Life Players, something that even the Sage's Hand and the Arcane Moon Grimoire couldn't compare to.
The Research Workshop could collect data and information on existing items, identify their various shortcomings, and then modify and enhance them to create entirely new items. The benefit this provided to Life Players was self-evident.
In his previous life, the reason certain superpowers had been able to cultivate numerous Life Masters — even Life Grandmasters — was largely thanks to the Research Workshop. Without it, even with the resources of a superpower, burning through vast quantities of rare materials would at most produce Life Masters. To cultivate a Life Grandmaster required an amount of ultra-rare materials that even superpowers simply couldn't afford to squander.
Now that Zero Wing had a Research Workshop, combined with its already considerable foundation and large pool of talent, it could not only cultivate a new batch of Life Masters in a short period of time but also use the workshop to develop a massive number of Level 100 weapons and equipment.
In the Divine Realm, design blueprints for high-grade weapons and equipment were already rare to begin with. And once they reached Level 100, the scarcity couldn't even be described as rare — it was outright abominable. That was why the major factions producing Level 100 high-grade equipment relied overwhelmingly on players to create them from scratch.
But creating Level 100 high-grade weapons and equipment was easier said than done.
Because of this, once mainstream players had reached Level 100, the prices of high-grade equipment at that level had soared one piece after another. Very few experts could equip themselves with Level 100+ high-grade gear. Some players had even reached Level 110 while still wearing equipment from Level 100.
It wasn't until the appearance of four-star shops that Level 100+ high-grade weapons and equipment gradually became more available.
Right now, the experts across the Divine Realm's major factions were still far from the Level 100 milestone, let alone in possession of high-grade gear at that level. If Zero Wing could prepare a stockpile of Level 100 high-grade equipment ahead of time, it would be an enormous help — both for Zero Wing's experts advancing to Tier 3 and for boosting the overall combat strength of the guild's players.
Beyond the Research Workshop, the four-star shop had another powerhouse function — its second feature.
The Warehouse!
Specifically, it referred to the shop's storage warehouse, but the four-star shop's warehouse was something special.
Once activated, the five three-star shops under the four-star shop's umbrella would gain access to a shared warehouse — meaning the four-star shop and all five subordinate three-star shops would share the same storage space.
That might not sound like much, but in reality, it was something countless factions dreamed of.
That was because this shared warehouse didn't just allow shared access to storable items, which could be freely retrieved from any location. Even non-storable items could be freely taken out as well.
Transporting non-storable items had always been one of the Divine Realm's greatest logistical headaches, a problem that plagued countless factions. The shared warehouse was one of the extremely rare solutions to this issue. For that very reason, the Divine Realm's major factions coveted four-star shops to an extraordinary degree, some even willing to trade Legendary items for one.
Of course, the shared warehouse didn't allow instant retrieval of items at any time. Once an item was deposited, it entered a twenty-four-hour freeze period before it could be accessed. Moreover, the shared warehouse had a very limited capacity for non-storable items — only a mere two hundred slots.
Still, even with these restrictions, it saved an enormous amount of hassle and transportation time. Most importantly, it was secure.
If the Shadow Guild in his previous life had owned a four-star shop, they wouldn't have had to risk so much just to transport non-storable items. Unfortunately, four-star shops were far too rare in the Divine Realm. That kind of privilege was reserved for only a handful of superpowers.
It was precisely because of these two functions that no number of three-star shops could ever hope to catch up. Whoever owned a four-star shop held a ticket to seize control of the Divine Realm's entire trade market. Without one, you were nothing more than an irrelevant bystander.
