"Miss Shuishse has something urgent?"
"That's right. While I can't tell you exactly what it's about, I, Shusheng Tanxiao, can stand in for Miss Shuishse and handle the trade with you."
But Shi Feng wasn't entirely convinced.
Every transaction brought massive gains to both sides. Something that important should take priority over everything else. If there truly was an emergency, they should have contacted him in advance — but Shuishse Rose hadn't done that.
He looked at the Maitreya Buddha figure before him — eyes narrowed, smile plastered on his face, appearing harmless enough, yet radiating the shrewdness of someone seasoned in the business world.
In a virtual reality world this close to reality, every player's appearance and demeanor were displayed in full. With ten years of experience in Divine Realm, Shi Feng caught a glimpse of barely concealed excitement and panic in those small eyes.
"If Miss Shuishse has other matters to attend to, then let's postpone our trade to next time." Shi Feng smiled faintly and abruptly stood up. "I have things to do, so I'll be leaving now."
Hearing that Shi Feng intended to walk away with no intention of trading, the Maitreya Buddha's expression shifted dramatically. A trace of anxiety crept into his affable smile, especially when he saw Shi Feng already on his feet and ready to leave.
"Master Black Flame, there's no need to rush! Even though Miss Shuishse couldn't make it, we at Twilight Echo came fully prepared with complete sincerity. The price we're offering is absolutely 30% higher than what was discussed before," Shusheng Tanxiao hurriedly stood and grabbed Shi Feng by the arm.
"Thirty percent — sounds like you're really committed." Shi Feng stopped in his turn and looked back at the anxious Maitreya Buddha with a smile. "Since you've put it that way, let's talk about the price like we discussed."
"Of course, of course." Shusheng Tanxiao nodded repeatedly, his friendly smile blooming once more.
The two sat back down and resumed negotiations.
"The items I asked Miss Shuishse to bring last time — did you bring them?" Shi Feng asked.
"Take a look, Master Black Flame." Shusheng Tanxiao produced several ore packs, the vast majority filled with Sturdy Stones, along with a good number of rare forging materials.
Beyond the five largest-capacity four-hundred-slot ore packs, he also had a black leather backpack. Its surface was covered in runic engravings — clearly no ordinary item.
"As expected of Twilight Echo — they even brought a runic ore pack," Shi Feng thought, secretly impressed.
A runic ore pack was an Iron Rank quality ore pack, far larger than ordinary ones. It contained a massive storage space with a capacity of twelve hundred slots — four times that of a regular ore pack.
But farming one of these was no easy task. Only leader-level bosses in the mines had a chance to drop them.
Compared to last time, this batch was enormous. Shusheng Tanxiao had prepared over two thousand stacks of Sturdy Stones, three hundred stacks of refined iron ore, four hundred stacks of silver ore, two hundred stacks of mythril ore, and even a hundred stacks of gold ore — something not even the Star Moon Kingdom had in supply right now.
The sheer manpower and resources required to gather all of this were staggering.
This was the power of a first-rate guild — far beyond what any ordinary guild could match.
"Good. This is what Miss Shuishse requested last time. Excluding these ores and factoring in the thirty percent markup, just transfer one hundred and twenty million Credit Points to me." Shi Feng placed a system-encrypted letter on the table — a message only the designated recipient could read. No outsider could view it by any means.
