A thunderous dragon roar echoed through the entire corridor, so powerful it felt as though heaven and earth were shaking. Only after the roar subsided did Shi Feng regain the ability to move.
Along with the dragon's dominance, both Shi Feng and the Fire Spirit had gained a new Intimidation debuff.
Reaction speed reduced by 20%, movement speed reduced by 30%, Constitution reduced by 15%, and all self-buff skills and magic were rendered unusable.
"So this is the Asura difficulty?"
Shi Feng eyed his own and the Fire Spirit's diminished stats under the influence of the dragon's dominance and couldn't help but click his tongue.
The reductions to Constitution and speed were one thing, but the inability to use burst skills was devastating for elite players—especially when surviving in the open world. Burst skills could save one's life at critical moments, dealing with situations that would otherwise be impossible, even turning the tide of battle entirely. Without that option, that possibility vanished. If something unexpected happened, death was all but guaranteed.
Not daring to let his guard down, Shi Feng used the Dark Book to summon a Tier 3, Level 85 demon.
The Tier 3 demon would still be suppressed by the dragon's dominance once it entered the corridor, and its combat power wouldn't compare to the Fire Spirit's, but an additional Level 85 Tier 3 combatant was always welcome. At a critical moment, it could even serve as a meat shield.
Shi Feng then ordered the Tier 3 Axe Demon to take point, with the Fire Spirit following behind, while he himself maintained a distance of roughly fifty yards from the Fire Spirit. At that range, even if the Axe Demon and the Fire Spirit triggered a trap, he wouldn't be caught in the blast—and if things went south, he could flee immediately.
After advancing for over ten minutes, the corridor turned out to be far less dangerous than expected. There were no monsters, not even a simple physical trap. They arrived without difficulty at a dimly lit hall.
The hall was larger than a football field, with stone pillars erected throughout. The divine runes inscribed on them bathed the entire space in an icy chill. Even Shi Feng, who possessed extremely high Ice Resistance, couldn't help but shiver. Fortunately, his health wasn't draining—the cold merely affected his mobility to a slight degree.
The moment the Axe Demon and the Fire Spirit reached the center of the hall, the surrounding stone pillars flashed with divine light in unison. Both the Axe Demon and the Fire Spirit began to disintegrate instantly, their bodies—originally composed of magical elements—reverting to raw magical energy. Then the entire hall suddenly blazed to life as towering giants formed from various elements rose from the ground, each clutching a weapon.
Elemental Guard, Elemental Creature, Grand Lord, Level 72, HP: 32 million.
Among these elemental giants, one stood apart—a staff-wielding colossus wreathed in the four primal elements. Every movement it made sent ripples through the hall's ambient mana, as though it were the supreme ruler of every element in the chamber.
Elemental Worshipper (Domain Lord), Elemental Creature, High Grand Lord, Level 73, HP: 65 million.
At the same time these elemental creatures appeared, a transparent pillar of magic crystal materialized at the center of the hall. Inside it rested a gleaming crystal vial that radiated an oppressive aura capable of making one's heart tremble.
"A Bloodline?!" Shi Feng stared at the crystal vial within the magic crystal pillar, a flash of shock crossing his eyes.
He had already known that the Asura difficulty would offer extraordinary rewards, but he hadn't expected them to be this good.
At his level, even the Epic-grade items that lesser elites coveted felt rather ordinary—only the truly exceptional Epic-grade items could stir his interest.
And yet, a Bloodline—no matter how ordinary—was worth no less than a fragment of a Legendary-grade item. For elite players, it could even surpass a Legendary-grade fragment in terms of the benefits it provided.
He was challenging the Asura difficulty of the Ancient God's Labyrinth, and the very first treasure he encountered was a Bloodline. How could he not be surprised?
Of course, as incredible as it was, Shi Feng quickly calmed himself down.
