A single spell from the Fire Spirit instantly destroyed eleven heavy siege crossbows. The shocking sight left the Star Ring players manning the remaining crossbows in the distance stunned, and even those who had been charging at the Fire Spirit froze in their tracks.
"Quick! All ranged units, stop it!"
"All heavy siege crossbows, scatter and pull back!"
The Star Ring commanders directing the battle stared at the destroyed crossbows, their faces an unspeakable shade of iron-gray.
Eleven heavy siege crossbows — gone just like that. This was even more terrifying than the four Defensive Puppets from before. The Defensive Puppets might have been faster than the heavy siege crossbows, but with Tier 3 summoned beasts blocking them, it still took considerable time to catch up to even a single crossbow. The Fire Spirit before them was a completely different matter.
Because it could fly through the air, its speed far exceeded that of the Defensive Puppets. And with powerful long-range offensive capabilities, hunting down heavy siege crossbows was child's play compared to the Puppets.
The only silver lining was that player attacks still had at least some effect on the Fire Spirit.
Immediately, swarms of Star Ring players converged on the Fire Spirit from every direction, unleashing volleys of ranged attacks. The surviving heavy siege crossbows began frantically retreating.
But before Star Ring's players could even surround the Fire Spirit, it had already finished chanting the Tier 3 forbidden spell — Blazing Radiance Eruption.
The Fire Spirit's enormous mouth yawned open, and a dual-layered magic array formed in front of it. Violent fire elements from all around surged toward the array's center, and in the blink of an eye, they coalesced into a blinding miniature sun. The searing heat made every nearby player feel as though their entire bodies were being pierced by needles.
"ROAAAR!"
With a thunderous roar from the Fire Spirit, a searing white beam swept across the ground, stretching out over two hundred yards. Everything in its path was reduced to ashes — players were instantly vaporized, not even afforded the chance to scream.
After the scorching beam passed, a scorched trench five or six meters deep scarred the earth, as though the entire Star Ring army had been cleaved in two. Even the two heavy siege crossbows in the distance had been turned to charcoal.
On the walls of Crescent Moon Town, every member of the Hundred Blossoms Palace watched with their jaws on the floor.
"Is this the true depth of the Zero Wing Guild?" Fei Xin couldn't help but glance at Shi Feng standing beside her, her heart flooded with indescribable shock.
A single creature had brought the entire Star Ring army to its knees.
This completely overturned everything she thought she knew about warfare in the Divine Realm. Human wave tactics, siege weapons — none of it mattered in the face of absolute power.
Against a creature that could wield multiple large-scale destructive spells like this, there was simply no way to fight this war without an equivalent force.
Meanwhile, the various factions watching from inside Crescent Moon Town through their magic mirrors were left utterly silent.
"What kind of monster is that? That's absurd — it just chain-cast one massive destructive spell after another!"
"Incredible. Star Ring is going to have a hell of a time taking Crescent Moon Town now."
"Did the Hundred Blossoms Palace really have something like this hidden up their sleeve?"
"No, wait. If the Hundred Blossoms Palace had this, they would've used it back at East Valley Town."
"I think the one who summoned that monster was that guy in the black cloak. He's probably a player from Zero Wing."
"Just what kind of guild is Zero Wing? Wasn't it supposed to be some new guild that only rose to prominence in the Divine Realm, with no backing behind them? How do they have this kind of power?"
Staring at the battle unfolding in their magic mirrors, every faction found themselves filled with burning curiosity about Zero Wing.
