After consecutively using the Seven Star Ring's teleportation, Shi Feng finally spent over ten minutes arriving at the Icefire Mountain Range.
Standing at the entrance to the Icefire Mountain Range, Shi Feng could already clearly feel the bone-chilling cold blowing outward from within. Had his ice resistance not been exceptionally high, he would have been frozen into an ice sculpture and perished on the spot.
Although the Icefire Mountain Range was not a forbidden zone of life, it was one of the few most treacherous lands in the Divine Realm. Ordinary players who came here were walking a path to certain death.
The entire mountain range was as large as one-fifth of a normal kingdom. Its outer perimeter was shrouded in a blend of freezing ice and raging flames. There were only two entry points—one leading in from the ice region, and the other from the fire region. Both eventually led to the mysterious Thunder Axe City.
However, compared to the fire region, the ice region had a lower level requirement for entry. The monsters within the ice region were generally between level 70 and level 85, though the ice resistance requirement was somewhat stricter. To enter safely, a player needed at least 100 points of ice resistance. Anything below that would result in continuous HP loss and severely slowed movement. To fight normally inside, a player's ice resistance needed to reach 120 points.
The fire region's monsters ranged from level 80 to level 90, making it unsuitable for level 70 players. The fire resistance requirement was more lenient, however—80 points was sufficient to avoid serious trouble, and 100 points meant taking no damage at all.
Shi Feng did not linger at the entrance. He immediately summoned his mount and strode into the Icefire Mountain Range.
Within the boundaries of the Icefire Mountain Range, both teleportation skills and teleportation items were prohibited. The only way to traverse it was on foot or by mount.
Upon entering the outer perimeter of the ice region, Shi Feng found that while the monsters were sparse, the entire mountain range was like a natural labyrinth. The paths were extraordinarily complex, crisscrossing in every direction, and hidden among them were countless magical traps. One careless step could land you in trouble—in the best case, trapped for several hours, and in the worst, killed on the spot.
Even Shi Feng, who was relatively familiar with the terrain, did not dare move recklessly. He advanced with caution at every step.
However, exploring uncharted territory had its advantages. Many of the treasure chests scattered throughout the Icefire Mountain Range had yet to be claimed by other players, allowing Shi Feng to collect a small portion along his path.
After spending over eight hours navigating out of the outer perimeter of the ice region, Shi Feng had obtained a full five treasure chests—four Bronze Rank chests and one Iron Rank chest. In the maps of any normal kingdom, such a haul would be unimaginable.
After all, once Divine Realm maps reached level 50, the drop rates for weapons and equipment plummeted, and the number of treasure chests dwindled accordingly. Obtaining even a single Bronze Rank chest was already quite good, considering that Bronze Rank chests had a chance of producing Iron Rank equipment. As for Iron Rank chests, needless to say, they were even more valuable.
Obtaining an Iron Rank chest on a level 70 map was no less rewarding than defeating a high-tier great lord in the wild above level 70. Most importantly, it required virtually no effort—truly a windfall dropped from the heavens.
The contents of these chests were exactly as Shi Feng had anticipated—all level 70 equipment. Among the loot was a particularly valuable level 70 Mithril cloth armor glove. The rest consisted of various potions, Tier 1 magic scrolls, magic crystals, and other miscellaneous items. Sold together, they would fetch a considerable sum.
"Finally here."
Shi Feng arrived at a steep mountain summit and gazed at the cave before him, completely encased within a magical barrier. This was the starting point of his exploration mission and the sole entrance to the Land of the Thunder Axe.
In his previous life, even the top experts of every major superpower had been unable to breach this place when they reached level 75. They had all perished inside, one after another. It was only when those players had reached level 77, equipped with a full set of top-tier level 75 gear or even scattered pieces of level 80 equipment, that they had finally managed to break through.
Shi Feng then produced the magic scroll granted by the Adventurer's Association and began dismantling the magical seal on the cave.
The instant the seal was broken, a furious roar erupted from within the cavern. The sound echoed throughout the entire mountain range, sending every monster in the vicinity fleeing in terror.
"What fearsome pressure! No wonder ordinary experts in my previous life didn't dare enter." Even that roar made Shi Feng feel somewhat uncomfortable.
But such overwhelming pressure did not cause Shi Feng to hesitate in the slightest. He strode straight in.
As Shi Feng entered the cavern, the dissipating magical barrier reformed behind him, sealing the cave once more and completely cutting off the oppressive aura from the outside world.
