Chapter 1925 Terrifying Numbers

January 17, 2020 · 3 min read · 699 words

In the private room on the top floor of the upscale restaurant, Qing Tian Baiyun stared fixedly at the members within the stronghold, silent for a long time. When Bing Yu and Zhan Fu raised their questions, he couldn't form a single word for quite a while.

"How can this be? Is really a guild on par with a first-rate guild?"

That one question echoed relentlessly through Qing Tian Baiyun's mind. He could hardly believe his own eyes.

Five hundred Tier 2 players!

That number was utterly out of reach for any of the current first-rate guilds.

Death God Studio only had around sixty-some Tier 2 players. If they actually clashed in the open field, never mind individual combat strength—just the sheer numerical gap was nearly tenfold...

Inside the Fairy Kingdom, the major first-rate guilds might surpass Death God Studio in Tier 2 experts, but only by a slim margin. Once dispersed across the field, that advantage shrank even further. That was precisely why Death God Studio had never feared guerrilla warfare against those first-rate guilds. Coupled with their own party leaders, they held an overwhelming advantage in open-field engagements.

But their tried-and-against-first-rate-guilds tactics were completely useless against . With a nearly tenfold gap in Tier 2 players, even if spread out across the field, they would still be a force to be reckoned with—let alone the fact that also had experts who could contend with Death God Studio's party leaders.

If they fought head-on inside the Fairy Kingdom, Death God Studio would come out with nothing to show for it.

"Bing Yu, Zhan Fu—you two stay with me. Everyone else can head back now." After a moment's deliberation, Qing Tian Baiyun issued the order through party chat.

"We stay? Everyone else goes back?" Bing Yu looked at Qing Tian Baiyun, puzzled. "These people were all sent by the Grand Commander specifically to help us. If they all leave, what can the three of us even accomplish here?"

The Grand Commander had sent them to for two reasons: first, to scout out 's true strength, and second, to find an opportunity to put in its place. Otherwise, the studio wouldn't have dispatched so many Tier 2 experts.

The other Death God Studio members agreed with Bing Yu's sentiment. They were all bewildered by Qing Tian Baiyun's decision, unable to understand why they should turn back immediately after arriving. After all, every one of them was a Tier 2 expert—their combined destructive power in coordinated action far exceeded even the thousand-player elite squads of the major guilds.

"Do you have any idea how many Tier 2 players are inside 's stronghold right now?" Qing Tian Baiyun turned his gaze to Bing Yu.

"The number of Tier 2 experts? This is 's main base, so... perhaps several dozen?" Bing Yu thought for a moment and offered a rough estimate. After all, even the current first-rate guilds only had around a hundred or so Tier 2 players, so having half of that stationed at the main base would already be impressive.

"Several dozen?" Qing Tian Baiyun cast a contemptuous look his way. "If it were only several dozen, do you think I would have told them to leave?"

"Could there be over a hundred?" Zhan Fu asked with a hint of surprise.

"Wrong! Five hundred!" Qing Tian Baiyun held up his open palm.

"Five hundred? That's impossible! Isn't supposed to be merely on par with a first-rate guild? Could you have misread?" Bing Yu's instinct was outright disbelief.

A number like that for Tier 2 players was no joke—it was practically comparable to some of the weaker superpowers.

"I wish I had misread." Qing Tian Baiyun said bitterly. "But I used my observation skill multiple times. They are all Tier 2 players."

"Doesn't have no backing?" Zhan Fu said, stunned.

Five hundred Tier 2 players—the sheer scale of that was staggering!

Dealing with their fifty Tier 2 players would be child's play. In all likelihood, only the three of them—the party leaders—could hope to escape. Everyone else would die.
