System Announcement: Congratulations to the player for discovering the Ancient Land of the Fire God.
Flame Demon Valley Regional System Announcement: A player has triggered a new expansion — "The Underground Kingdom." The ancient forbidden seal has been broken. In ten days, players will be able to enter.
……
The system announcement repeated three times, the voice echoing through his mind over and over, refusing to fade.
"The Underground Kingdom?" Shi Feng was momentarily stunned. "The Ancient Land of the Fire God?"
In his previous life, he had never heard of the Flame Demon Valley having any underground kingdom. All he knew was that the valley had plenty of Source Fire Ore and Magic Crystals, which had sparked fierce competition among numerous superpowers at the time.
But this new expansion he had triggered was clearly something extraordinary.
Though he had never heard of the Ancient Land of the Fire God, he was quite familiar with ancient lands in general.
Any ancient land was a place that had existed before the Great Cataclysm, only disappearing from everyone's sight afterward. According to legend, these ancient lands had been blessed by the ancient gods, which was why they hadn't been destroyed during the Great Cataclysm. However, as time passed, they had all become ruins.
Some still contained artifacts from the ancient civilizations — products that every major superpower would kill to get their hands on. So wherever there was an ancient land, there was bound to be conflict among the great powers.
He never expected that the so-called Source Fire vein was actually the entrance to the Ancient Land of the Fire God.
This left Shi Feng momentarily speechless.
The system announcement had already gone out. The Flame Demon Valley's underground kingdom would inevitably be exposed, and the Source Fire vein would definitely be discovered. The Flame Demon Valley was tens of thousands of miles away from the Star Moon Kingdom. If that superpower from the Fire Dragon Empire decided to make a move, there would be nothing he could do about it.
The only saving grace was that the core area of the Flame Demon Valley wasn't easy to enter — players needed sufficiently high fire resistance.
This news also stirred some excitement among the Zero Wing members present.
A new expansion had been triggered. The system had announced that the underground kingdom would open to the public. Though no one knew what the underground kingdom was, this was undoubtedly a tremendous opportunity.
It was just like how merchant players loved to travel to other kingdoms and empires.
Different kingdoms and empires had their own unique items, not to mention price differences in various materials. It was through these trade margins that merchant players could make enormous profits.
A place like the underground kingdom, which no other player had ever entered before, was essentially theirs for the taking. Even just gathering some unique items and bringing them back would net a massive fortune in the Divine Realm.
Though the Zero Wing members listened with excitement, the terrifying number of monsters before them quickly suppressed that enthusiasm, and they focused all their attention on repelling the onslaught.
Shi Feng himself, after a brief moment of surprise, immediately rushed to the depths of the Source Fire vein and began constructing a magical teleportation array coordinate.
Currently, getting even a team of experts to the Flame Demon Valley was extremely difficult, let alone bringing a large force. This was impossible for any guild at the moment, let alone mining the ore.
This was a massive problem for other guilds, but for Zero Wing, it was manageable.
As long as he set up the teleportation coordinate, they could teleport directly through a magic array. Not only would this save an enormous amount of travel time, but it would also let them avoid the fights along the way through the Flame Demon Valley.
The only drawback was that teleporting over such a long distance would consume a significant number of Magic Crystals.
However, compared to the cost of the teleportation crystals, the Source Fire vein made it a drop in the bucket — completely negligible. Setting aside the fact that the Source Fire vein could produce Magic Crystals, the Source Fire Ore itself was incredibly valuable, not to mention the chance of producing Fire Origin Crystals.
Deep within the interior of the Flame Demon Valley, in a patch of scorching sand, Qin Yin was leading her team to clear out monsters at a set of ruins when the regional announcement for the new expansion suddenly played.
"Incredible — someone actually triggered a new expansion in the Flame Demon Valley!"
"It must be Zero Wing. Is this what they said they were going to do?"
"Who knows what this underground kingdom is, but there's bound to be plenty of good stuff inside. This is our Ninth Heaven's lucky break. Right now, probably only our two guilds in the entire Flame Demon region know about this. If we play our cards right with the trade, we can make a fortune."
