Chapter 1838 — The Hidden Effect of the Legendary Fragment

The moment Shi Feng clicked to upgrade the Titan Guardian inside the lavishly decorated conference room, the shield erupted with a blinding radiance that made it impossible for anyone to keep their eyes open.

The instant everyone shut their eyes, a terrifying wave of pressure crashed over them, sending them instinctively into a state of alert.

"What's going on? That pressure is insane!"

"Could it be coming from the shield? No way — that kind of presence is on par with a Legendary monster."

Everyone present was an elite among elites, and countless life-or-death battles had honed their instincts far beyond those of ordinary beasts.

Had they not been absolutely certain they were inside the safety of the conference room, they would have drawn their weapons and assumed combat stances without hesitation.

The aura radiating from the Titan Guardian reached its peak and then gradually weakened, fading away into nothing, as though it had never existed at all.

"So this is a Legendary-grade item fragment… a shield?" Shi Feng stared at the Titan Guardian in his hands, which had suddenly become impossibly light, inwardly stunned.

Before the upgrade, holding the Titan Guardian hadn't exactly been exhausting, but it had severely restricted his movement.

Now, however, the shield felt as light as a feather, as though its hard, cold metal frame were nothing more than an illusion.

This hidden effect was nothing short of astonishing.

In the Divine Realm, it was common knowledge that an MT's shield had to be heavy in order to withstand boss attacks. Of course, some lighter options existed — small bucklers made of wood or steel. While bucklers were significantly lighter and afforded the MT greater mobility, their drawbacks were equally obvious: poor load-bearing capacity meant that a strength-type boss could easily knock the MT flying, and the smaller defensive surface area made blocking far more demanding. That was why every major guild's main tank relied on large, heavy shields.

The Titan Guardian, however, not only offered a massive defensive surface area, it was also incredibly light. This was the dream shield every MT in existence wished for.

And compared to its hidden effect, the Titan Guardian's actual stats were even more staggering.

Active Skill III — Domain of the Titan: Within a 100-yard radius centered on the player, for each non-friendly target present, the player's all attributes +2%, damage taken -1%, defense +1%, HP regeneration +0.1% per second. Lasts 1 minute. Cooldown: 2 hours. (Maximum target count: 100.)

These stat boosts alone could instantly elevate an ordinary MT to the very top tier.

"Guild Master, how are the shield's stats?" Ke Le asked Shi Feng, his expression brimming with excitement.

"See for yourself." Shi Feng smiled and handed the Titan Guardian over.

Ke Le took the shield and immediately noticed the difference. The moment he read through the stats, his breathing quickened involuntarily.

"Guild Master, can we go out to the field and take on a Legendary boss just to try this thing out?" Ke Le gazed at Shi Feng, eyes full of longing.

It was just like a swordsman who had just obtained a precious blade and was desperate to test its edge.

His current gear was already among the very best in the Divine Realm. With an ordinary Epic-grade shield, he could already tank a Legendary monster of the same level. The Titan Guardian had elevated him an entire tier further, making him feel as though he could go toe-to-toe with a Legendary monster head-on.

Of course, he knew this was an illusion. A Legendary monster was still a Legendary monster.

But while he couldn't truly stand against a Legendary monster with the Titan Guardian alone, he was confident he could face one without any problems. As for whether he could actually kill one, that would depend on the team's damage output.
