Forged by the Divine Smith Arnold using a mysterious sword fragment as material, this Holy Sword is one of the Divine Realm's Thirty-Six Renowned Swords, ranked twentieth. It was once the personal weapon of the Thunder Emperor Caesar, granting its wielder lightning-like speed. Damage against dark-attribute creatures increased by 100%. Can evolve. Indestructible.
Shi Feng stared at the Holy Sword Shi Lei's data, half-convinced his eyes were deceiving him.
The wielding requirements for the Holy Sword Shi Lei had jumped significantly, and its attack power had soared as well — over 2,400 points, barely lower than a same-tier two-handed Epic weapon.
It was practically like wielding a two-handed weapon in one hand.
The Holy Sword Shi Lei had already been a top-tier Epic weapon, and after the enhancement from the Limit Gem, its base stats alone had increased by 20% — to say nothing of the additional equipment attribute boost, which had jumped by another 5%. Probably only a fragment of a Legendary item could surpass it now.
On top of that, all the skills had been strengthened, and a third skill had been added — Lightning Radiance Slash.
On the surface, Lightning Radiance Slash didn't seem all that powerful, but for expert players, the Strength boost it provided was far more important than the raw damage. Increased Strength could overwhelm a target, creating an opening for a lethal follow-up strike. That was why, in the Divine Realm, stats were generally considered more important than raw damage.
"With my current attack power, I could probably break through even a Tier 2 MT's defenses with ease." Shi Feng glanced at his overall stats and let out a soft whistle.
In the Divine Realm, even landing a direct hit on a player was subject to their Defense stat, preventing 100% damage. At the same Defense value, the effective damage caps for cloth armor and plate armor were quite different — plate armor's was far higher. That was why players typically dealt very little damage to plate-wearing classes. But once Strength and attack power reached a certain threshold, you could bypass a tank's Defense entirely and deal full damage.
At that level of attack power, there was no difference between fighting cloth or plate.
Just as Shi Feng was savoring the new power granted by the Holy Sword Shi Lei, the premium carriage finally pulled up to the entrance of the War God Temple.
The entire War God Temple was a hive of activity. The number of players streaming in and out was no less than at the Auction House or the Adventurer's Guild.
But in Shi Feng's eyes, the current crowd was actually still quite small.
The War God Temple's duty was to protect the entire Divine Realm continent, and as players' levels rose, they would encounter ever more powerful dark forces — demons, evil spirits, Abyssals, and worse. In particular, once players reached Tier 2, as long as their reputation with the War God Temple hit 300 points, they could pick up special quests targeting dark forces, earning generous Temple Points and unique resources.
And when reputation reached 500, players could take on large-scale Expedition Quests aimed at dismantling dark force strongholds. These were the most coveted quests among the major guilds, because half of all Town Founding Tokens in the Divine Realm had come from exactly these kinds of expeditions.
