"How is this possible?"
Yi Xiao Du Zang stared at Shi Feng, who had survived three volleys from the goblin magic cannons without dying, his eyes filled with terror. He knew better than anyone just how devastating those cannons were, and the shock of seeing Shi Feng withstand three direct hits was overwhelming, almost impossible to believe.
Under a goblin magic cannon's bombardment, even a Tier Two MT activating every survival skill they had would be vaporized in a single shot.
Yet the damage inflicted on Shi Feng could only be described as negligible.
Against the goblin magic cannons' attacks, practically any healer could keep Shi Feng topped off shot after shot. He could probably even face three cannons firing simultaneously with ease.
"Is he an NPC or some kind of humanoid monster?"
The members of Sky Burial gazed at Shi Feng standing proudly in midair, their minds consumed by fear and bewilderment. Power on this level was beyond what any player could possibly achieve. The thought of having to fight such a monster next made their scalps tingle with dread.
Even a Tier Three large-scale destructive spell had barely fazed him. Their own attacks would be nothing more than a light drizzle, and that was without factoring in Shi Feng's exceptional combat skills — unlike a mindless monster, he wouldn't just stand there and let them land free hits.
If he charged into their ranks, the consequences would be catastrophic.
Back in Stone Forest Town, everyone who witnessed this stunning scene was struck speechless. The entire town fell into a silence that defied description.
"So this is the strength of the number-one expert in the Star Moon Kingdom?"
People had always known that Shi Feng was the universally acknowledged top player in the Star Moon Kingdom, and they understood he was not someone you could overpower through sheer force. But they had never imagined he was this strong — going head-to-head with a weapon of war. This was no longer the level of a player. This was a genuine monster.
This sight made all the experts who had once harbored ambitions of challenging Shi Feng for the throne of the Star Moon Kingdom's strongest burst into bitter laughter — laughter at how absurd and ridiculous they had been.
Shi Feng swept his gaze across the completely stunned members of Sky Burial, a faint smile playing at the corner of his lips.
A disparity in strength was only part of the equation in a guild war. Morale mattered just as much. Players shrouded in fear and anxiety would, whether they wanted to or not, find their bodies growing sluggish from the subconscious, making mistakes they would never normally make and suffering dramatic drops in combat effectiveness.
Conversely, if one side burned with fighting spirit and unyielding determination, they could accomplish things beyond their usual limits, unlocking hidden potential and boosting their combat power — making it entirely possible to defeat a larger force with a smaller one.
"It looks like the effect is pretty good." Shi Feng surveyed the now thoroughly panicked members of Sky Burial, quite satisfied with his performance.
War weapons were indeed overwhelmingly powerful, but they were not invincible. It was simply that current players were still too weak.
Tier Three large-scale destructive spells were undeniably devastating — an instant kill against Tier One classes and an irresistible force against Tier Two. But what about Tier Three and Tier Four classes?
Once you reached Tier Three, a once-insurmountable Tier Three destructive spell became merely a serious threat, nothing more. It was certainly survivable. And against a Tier Four class, you could break through it head-on without issue.
The reason he had dared to face the goblin magic cannons head-on was, first, because his attributes were sufficiently powerful and his magic resistance was high enough, and Heavenly Dragon Power had massively boosted both his HP and defense. But more importantly, the Armor of Ruin generated a Ruin Domain that halved the effects of any magic above Tier Two.
That was why he had chosen to tank the goblin magic cannons directly. Even so, the damage was far from trivial. Anyone else — even with the Ruin Domain active — would have either died outright or been crippled after a single hit. After all, Shi Feng's HP had been increased by 500%. Losing what appeared to be only a sixth of his health bar meant that a single shot had actually dealt five-sixths of his original HP in damage.
Moreover, blocking Tier Three large-scale destructive spells took a heavy toll on equipment durability. After just three volleys, the durability of his gear had dropped by nearly a quarter. His Epic equipment held up reasonably well, but if this went on for another ten or so shots, everything he was wearing — aside from Epic items and fragments of Legendary equipment — would be completely destroyed.
