Chapter 1666: Crazy Drops (Fourth Update)

August 1, 2020 · 3 min read · 694 words

The loot from the Ice-Fire Two-Headed Earth Dragon was enormous, over a hundred items in total. Although most were materials and Magic Crystals, there were still eight pieces of weapon equipment among the drops.

"The First Clear rewards are truly amazing." Shi Feng couldn't help but feel a surge of excitement after appraising the eight weapons and armor pieces.

Of the eight pieces of equipment, seven were Level 50 Dark Gold rank weapons and armor.

Among them were two Level 50 Dark Gold weapons: a Dark Gold dagger and a Dark Gold one-handed axe. These were absolutely the finest weapons currently available outside of Epic rank, and even within super guilds, countless top experts would fight over them.

Although the experts of the major guilds had all reached Level 50, much of their equipment was still stuck at Level 45. Even the top powers that had entered the Ancient Divine Ruins were lucky to obtain a single Level 50 Gold-grade weapon; many still wielded Level 45 Dark Gold weapons, which were a full tier below Level 50 Gold-grade weapons in base stats, to say nothing of attack power.

Apart from the two Dark Gold weapons, Shi Feng hadn't expected that among the remaining five Dark Gold equipment pieces, there would actually be a Level 50 Dark Gold set—the Berserker's Gale set and the Elementalist's Frostfire set. Two pieces were the hands and legs of the Gale set, while the other three were the head, hands, and feet of the Frostfire set.

A Level 50 Dark Gold set was considered second only to a single Epic equipment set and wouldn't become obsolete until just before Level 59. Moreover, being class-specific sets, they were even more suitable for their respective classes. The Gale set, for instance, was a six-piece set, and the two-piece bonus increased the player's attack speed and movement speed by 15%, directly compensating for the Berserker's lack of speed.

The Frostfire set was also a six-piece set, and its two-piece bonus increased the Elementalist's casting range by 10%. It might not sound like much, but for a high-level Elementalist engaged in ranged combat, with proper execution, this was enough to suppress ranged classes with shorter casting ranges of the same level, while also allowing them to strike first and gain the initiative.

If a complete set were assembled, even ten thousand gold might not be enough, as major powers would rush to purchase it.

However, compared to the final item, these seven pieces of equipment were far inferior, because the last one was an Epic rank ring: the Ring of Ice and Fire.

Ring of Ice and Fire, Ring, Epic rank, Equipment Level 50-100, Requirement: 500 Strength, 400 Agility, 1000 Intelligence.

Strength +55 (Level 50) Agility +42 Stamina +45 Intelligence +74 Ignore Monster Level +12, Ice Resistance +15, Fire Resistance +15.

Passive Skill: Ice and Fire Barrier, forms a barrier of ice and fire around the wearer. As long as the wearer stands still, all ice and fire magic spells cast have their power increased by 20% and casting time reduced by 10%.

Active Skill 1: Ice and Fire Descent, manipulates ice and fire elements to deal 700% fire damage in a 40-yard cone ahead, slowing targets by 70% for 6 seconds. Cooldown: 3 minutes.

Active Skill 2: Ice and Fire Shield, forms a protective shield within a 15-yard radius, making the wearer immune to ice and fire damage, absorbing up to 300% of maximum mana in damage for 20 seconds. Cooldown: 10 minutes.

Rings and accessories were very rare in the Divine Realm, and their prices at the same quality were two to three times higher or more, let alone a top-tier Epic ring.

If an Elementalist equipped the Ring of Ice and Fire, their combat power would increase by at least 20%, not to mention its powerful AoE and life-saving skills. It was a priceless treasure that couldn't be bought for any amount of gold.

"Guild Leader, what did the boss drop?" Hei Zi couldn't help but ask curiously as he watched Shi Feng appraising the equipment.

Everyone else pricked up their ears as well, eager to know what had dropped.
