"Are we going to fight?" Shuishui Qiangwei asked with a hint of anticipation. "Could it be that the Guild Master has a way to deal with that Evil Fiend army?"
She knew Zero Wing's reserves all too well.
With their current combat power, they stood absolutely no chance in an open-field battle. But the same went for Heaven's Burial—they wouldn't be able to use the Evil Fiend army to siege a city either.
To defeat the Evil Fiend army in the wild, they would need some kind of special method.
"No," Shi Feng shook his head.
"Then how are we supposed to fight Heaven's Burial?" Shuishui Qiangwei couldn't help but feel exasperated.
"Who said we're going head-to-head with them?" Shi Feng smiled faintly. "The essence of a guild war is a contest of financial resources. If we cut off their source of income, how long do you think they can hold out?"
Both sides had placed bounties on each other's guild members, and the daily expenditures were enormous.
If one side ran short on funds and could no longer pay out those massive bounties or compensate for the loss of guild members, that guild would naturally collapse.
"Cut off their income?" Shuishui Qiangwei's expression grew even more surprised.
Heaven's Burial's financial power was truly terrifying. Not only did they have the economic backing of the Black Water Conglomerate, but they also controlled Ancient Rock City in the Beastman Empire. Both of these revenue streams were staggering. If they could be severed, it would indeed deal a crippling economic blow to Heaven's Burial.
But cutting off these two sources of income seemed utterly impossible.
Ancient Rock City was located deep within the Beastman Empire's territory. Not only did Heaven's Burial have a massive garrison there, but the city's defenses were also being continuously reinforced. After all, every major superpower had their eye on Ancient Rock City and wanted to claim it for themselves. On top of that, a large number of NPCs stood guard.
Although there were only six thousand of them, every single NPC guard was level 100. The vast majority were first-tier guards, with a small number of second-tier guards, and third-tier commanders who could be counted on one hand.
But anyone who knew the game understood that level 100 was the second major threshold in the Divine Realm. Even if Heaven's Burial led an army of hundreds of thousands of evil beasts between levels seventy and eighty to attack Ancient Rock City, they still wouldn't be able to take it.
As for the Black Water Conglomerate side, that was equally impossible. The Black Water Conglomerate had already seized the entire Iron Empire. With Zero Wing's current strength, attempting a distant expedition against the Iron Empire would barely be enough to serve as a snack for the Black Water Conglomerate.
"Anyway, send someone with sixty thousand magic crystals to me first. I'm going to make a trip to Ancient Rock City and find a way to cut off their revenue. Tell everyone in the guild to stay put for now. If anyone really needs to go out and level, they can stick to the maps around Zero Wing City for the time being. If anything comes up, have Feiying and Jianying teleport over immediately." Shi Feng nodded and smiled faintly.
Perhaps other people truly had no way to deal with Ancient Rock City.
But Heaven's Burial's luck had run out. He had obtained an epic-grade consumable item in the World Summit—the Demon King's Horn.
With a full-power strike, even Zero Wing City's defensive magic array couldn't withstand it, let alone Ancient Rock City.
The only drawback was that it consumed a massive amount of magic crystals.
Previously, Zero Wing's stockpile of magic crystals hadn't even reached ten thousand, making it impossible to use the Demon King's Horn. But things were different now. The income of magic crystals from Zero Wing City's teleportation array and the fighting arena had already exceeded one hundred thousand and was still climbing.
Spending sixty thousand magic crystals in one go wouldn't place too heavy a burden on Zero Wing's normal operations.
Since Heaven's Burial dared to start this, they shouldn't blame him for finishing it.
"Guild Master, going alone is far too dangerous! Ancient Rock City is guarded by level 100 third-tier NPCs, and Heaven's Burial has already marked Zero Wing as an enemy. The moment you approach Ancient Rock City, those NPCs will attack on sight!" Shuishui Qiangwei was startled to hear that Shi Feng planned to go to Ancient Rock City alone and hurriedly tried to dissuade him.
What kind of place was Ancient Rock City? A single NPC there could easily kill any current player. Going alone was practically suicide.
"Don't worry, I know what I'm doing. If it doesn't work out, I won't force it," Shi Feng said with a smile, offering no further explanation.
"Just be careful, then. I'll have Yaya bring the magic crystals over right away." Even after hearing Shi Feng's reassurance, Shuishui Qiangwei still felt uneasy and couldn't stop herself from urging him on.
