Just after Shi Feng finished giving Shuise Qiangwei her instructions and ended the call, he immediately contacted Youyu Weixiao.
He had Youyu Weixiao post an official announcement on the main website's forum, raising the bounty on Heavenly Burial Guild once again.
Originally, killing an ordinary member was worth forty silver coins — now it was raised to eighty. Elite members went from two gold coins to four, and expert players from twenty gold coins to forty.
And he wanted a headline attached.
Does Heavenly Burial Guild dare to fight?
Simply put, killing a single expert from Heavenly Burial would let a player immediately purchase a mount from the NPC vendors. And for those who already had a mount, the reward could be used to buy gold-grade equipment at level forty-five from the Auction House.
This kind of payout was incredibly tempting even for expert players. After all, no matter how hard an expert worked in a day, they couldn't earn even half that amount. And even if they died, as long as they managed to take down a Heavenly Burial expert, it wouldn't be a loss.
"Guild Master, have you lost your mind?" Youyu Weixiao stared at Shi Feng's latest bounty, her eyes nearly popping out of her head. "How does our guild have that kind of money?"
This was no longer some bounty game — it was practically playing with their lives!
Once this bounty went live, a massive number of expert players would undoubtedly go after Heavenly Burial's members. The payout costs at that point would be no joke. With Zero Wing's current income, there was absolutely no way to absorb that — it was basically a self-destruct move, something for other guilds and players to laugh at.
"Don't worry, I'll figure out the money. If we really can't hold out, we can sell off all the loot drops the Dark God Squad just obtained, or use them to offset the bounty costs," Shi Feng said.
The current bounty was indeed a heavy burden on Zero Wing, but for Heavenly Burial it wasn't much of one. If they kept dragging this out, the situation would only grow more disadvantageous for Zero Wing.
Relying solely on the Dark God Squad's hunts clearly wasn't enough. The squad had too few members, and the financial gap between the two sides was on an entirely different level. To truly wound Heavenly Burial, it would take the kind of strategy where you hurt yourself a thousand to damage the enemy eight hundred.
Fortunately, the Dark God Squad's latest hunt against Heavenly Burial had yielded impressive returns. They had obtained over four hundred pieces of level forty-five dark gold equipment, over seven hundred pieces of level forty-five gold-grade equipment, and over two thousand pieces of level forty-five mythril equipment. It went without saying that Heavenly Burial's experts and elites had been well-geared — and all of these dropped weapons and equipment would be enough to sustain Zero Wing for quite a while longer.
Moreover, he had already dispatched the Dark God Squad again, and having a large number of other players hunting down Heavenly Burial members would make the squad's own efforts that much easier.
Beyond all of this, magic ore would also become a significant source of income in the future.
Right now, every major guild was desperately short on magic ore. A single piece had reached the outrageous price of one gold and twenty silver coins. Originally, a piece of magic ore was only worth thirty to forty silver coins. But the Bone-Devouring Lands were rich in magic ore deposits — acquiring large quantities wouldn't be too difficult.
"I understand." Youyu Weixiao could only nod helplessly. Though she trusted Shi Feng completely, she still felt this was utterly insane.
Once Youyu Weixiao posted the announcement.
Every player in the Star Moon Kingdom fell silent — and then erupted into frenzy and astonishment.
"Zero Wing is incredible!"
"So much money! Is this what Zero Wing's been sitting on this whole time?"
"Holy crap! Is Zero Wing trying to blow themselves up? Forty gold coins for killing one Heavenly Burial expert? I'm wondering if those Heavenly Burial experts might just kill each other first and go collect the bounty from Zero Wing."
"They've lost it. Zero Wing has really gone mad this time! At these prices, I bet even some top-tier experts would be tempted."
"Count me in — I'm putting together a group to farm Heavenly Burial! Anyone want to form a party?"
"Absolutely insane. For Zero Wing to dare do this — even Heavenly Burial is going to feel the pain this time."
