"What incredible destructive power!"
"No way! Leader monsters at levels fifty-two and fifty-three were all wiped out!"
Everyone stared at the massive gap torn through the encirclement, their hearts filled with indescribable shock. And thanks to this round of bombardment, everyone's experience points had jumped by a significant amount.
"With so many core members absent, they can still use three incredibly powerful large-scale destruction spells?" Xuanjing stared at Shi Feng standing on the front line, her face a picture of disbelief.
Large-scale destruction spells were the kind of magical skill every major guild had been frantically pursuing. However, such spells were extremely rare. Even their super guild, the Sacred Temple, only had a little over thirty people who had mastered them — and she was one of them.
For players and guilds unfamiliar with large-scale destruction spells, they were the ultimate weapons of war and god-tier farming skills. But only those who had truly mastered such spells knew that they varied in power.
They might work fine against players, but farming powerful monsters was a different story altogether. For leader monsters above level fifty, forget about three ordinary large-scale destruction spells — even ten might not be enough to kill one. After all, with millions of hit points, only forbidden-spell-level destruction magic could do the job. And such skills were incredibly hard to obtain.
Right now, only six people in their entire Sacred Temple had mastered this type of magic. All six were being fought over by the guild's upper echelons, each trying to recruit them directly under their own banner.
It was hard to imagine that Zero Wing, with so many core members absent, still had three people who could deploy forbidden-spell-level large-scale destruction magic.
"No wonder Hei Yan was confident he could clear the Twilight Forest — he'd been hiding a trump card like this." Feng Qianyu gazed at the lifeless crater and shook her head with a rueful laugh.
Forbidden-spell-level large-scale destruction magic was a god-tier skill for tackling team dungeons. Against bosses in particular, it could significantly reduce the difficulty of an encounter.
She had come prepared as well, but she was the only one on her side. She never expected Zero Wing would have three people who could pull it off.
"The gap is open! Everyone, push through! Ranged, use crowd-control skills on the other monsters — don't let them close the gap!" Shi Feng shouted into the party chat.
Deep in the werewolf zone, no party could fight its way into the center area through brute force alone — not even a full team of Tier 2 players. The only option was to run, avoiding combat whenever possible. The sole exception was encountering a high-level Great Lord, which had to be taken down first. Other than that, it was all about running.
Werewolf squads in this zone respawned at a frightening rate, and their hunting range covered the entire werewolf zone. Once spotted, these werewolves would chase you to the ends of the earth unless you left their territory.
Thanks to Shi Feng's shout, everyone finally snapped out of their shock.
The main tank charged at the front, and the rest followed in an orderly fashion. Before long, they broke through the werewolves' encirclement.
Without any high-level Great Lords, the werewolves — though numerous — couldn't exceed the team's defensive limits. And with mobile artillery like Zhao Yueru and Shuise Qiangwei on their side, any Great Lord werewolf blocking their path was blasted aside. This made the journey to the center area remarkably smooth.
In just over four hours, the group reached the boundary separating the center area of the Twilight Forest.
During those five hours of farming, some players had even leveled up. Even those who hadn't gained a level had seen their experience jump by over thirty percent. The speed of progression was so fast that many were reluctant to leave.
"Sister Xuanjing, the Dragon Phoenix Pavilion really got lucky. Sure, the Twilight Forest is only a first-tier ancient ruin, but compared to that second-tier ruin we tackled before, it's a walk in the park. When our Sacred Temple assembled all those experts for the second-tier ruin, we spent every last minute and barely made it to the center area." Huan Ji gazed at the dense forest enveloped in a magical barrier and couldn't help but feel envious.
Monsters inside ancient ruins didn't drop loot. The only way to obtain treasure was to enter the center area and search for it.
Now, only a little over four hours had passed. They still had more than three hours left — and even if they couldn't clear the dungeon, they would at least walk away with something. Unlike their own attempt at a second-tier ruin, where they had walked away with nothing and gotten wiped out twice.
"Easy?" Xuanjing glanced back at the werewolf army in the werewolf zone that still stubbornly lingered, then looked at Shi Feng, who had sat down to rest. "I think it's time I reported back to the guild master."
