"The loot from this boss is insane!"
"This is definitely a mega-drop!"
"No way! This is the first time I've ever seen a mega-drop since I started playing Divine Realm."
"Look! There's actual equipment among the drops!"
"If the two great guilds in Cold Wind City found out about this, they'd die of envy."
……
The group stared at the loot raining down like a storm of candy, each person's mouth hanging wide open. They had already been shocked enough at the fact that they'd managed to kill a Three-Headed Frost Wolf, but this was even more jaw-dropping.
In Divine Realm, once monsters reached Level 50, their drops plummeted dramatically. Even in the Forbidden Life Zone — the Great Rift of Ice and Snow — the monsters dropped very little, typically only four or five items, most of which were materials. Even the Level 60 High Great Lord they had killed earlier had only dropped a dozen or so items.
Now, a single glance revealed over a hundred items. How could they not be stunned?
"Everyone, recover first. We'll head into the cave in a little while." Shi Feng shook his head with an amused smile at the excited group.
A Level 67 High Great Lord that also dropped weapon equipment — the temptation was no less potent than a Level 45 Dark Gold set.
Everyone knew that monsters above Level 50 rarely dropped good equipment, and the Ice Crystal World was even worse. Although the Forging System had Level 50 blueprints available, their prices were far higher than Level 45 ones. More importantly, the success rate dropped drastically. Crafting a single Gold-grade Level 50 weapon was harder than crafting a Dark Gold item at Level 45, to say nothing of Dark Gold equipment above Level 50.
Among the hundred-plus drops, over sixty percent were primary materials for crafting weapons above Level 50. There were also five Second Tier magic scrolls and two Third Tier magic scrolls — one of which was a Third Tier Mass Teleport scroll, and the other a Third Tier Defensive magic scroll. Over a dozen Master-rank Mana Recovery potions and Master-rank Healing potions, along with more than ten elemental attribute gems.
Five Gold-grade Level 60 pieces had dropped as well, plus two Dark Gold Level 60 items — an incredibly generous haul.
Yet among all the loot, Shi Feng's eyes were locked on a single thick, gold-inlaid book.
He stared at the gold-inlaid book. On the surface, there was nothing remarkable about it, but inwardly he was practically bursting with joy.
"I can't believe that just killing a gatekeeper boss could drop something like this. This trip to the Ice Crystal World really paid off." His eyes gleamed as he held the gold-inlaid book.
This book wasn't a blueprint, nor a recipe, and certainly not some treasure map or special item. It was merely a Skill Book — but its value far surpassed even those ultra-rare burst-damage skill books. Collectively, they were known as Combination Skill Books.
The value of a Combination Skill Book could even exceed that of an Epic-grade item.
In his previous life, Shi Feng had once tried to bid on a Combination Skill Book, only for a first-rate guild to snap it up for fifty thousand Magic Crystals. At the time, the entire Shadow Guild had fewer than thirty thousand Magic Crystals in total…
He never imagined that killing a Three-Headed Frost Wolf would land him one.
Combination Skill Books allowed multiple players to learn the same skill. Some required two players, others three or five. When used by the specified number of players simultaneously, they could unleash devastating destructive power — which was exactly how many major guilds dealt with powerful bosses.
After all, many bosses were simply too strong. Even with magic arrays to suppress them, guilds often couldn't win. In those situations, Combination Skills could turn the tide.
However, Combination Skills varied in power and function. Those that sold for tens of thousands of Magic Crystals were typically four-to-five-player combos. Such skills could even inflict serious injuries on Legendary creatures using just First Tier players, making them more powerful than Third Tier magic scrolls — which was why their prices were so exorbitant.
But ordinary Combination Skill Books were typically only obtained from Legendary monsters or Dark Gold treasure chests in Level 60+ zones. To think that a single High Great Lord could drop one…
