The members of the Shadow Dragon Legion looked at Water Color Rose, who had suddenly appeared on the mountain path, and one by one, amused smiles crept across their faces.
There were over two hundred of them here, any one of whom would be considered a top-tier expert in a major guild.
And Water Color Rose wanted to hold them off all by herself? In their eyes, that was the very definition of courting death.
"No time to waste. You few, go take her out. Everyone else, head for the mountaintop immediately — we must get our hands on that war weapon!" Yingya glanced at Water Color Rose. Though she did exude a powerful presence, for the Shadow Dragon Legion's members, a single squad working together would be more than enough to handle her.
"Yes, sir!"
The moment Yingya finished giving his orders, a six-man squad from the Shadow Dragon Legion charged straight at Water Color Rose.
The six-person squad's Classes were a standard configuration: one MT, four DPS, and one healer.
The Level 45 Shield Warrior charged forward with a Charge, taking the lead. The Priest in the backline immediately cast a True Word Shield and a Minor Heal, while the Berserker on the side followed up with a Charge Slash. Meanwhile, the two magic-class experts and a Ranger in the rear cut off Water Color Rose's retreat, leaving her momentarily with no way to dodge.
In an instant, a three-stage attack formed. The timing among the six of them was something even an expert squad would struggle to achieve.
However, Water Color Rose had no intention of dodging. She lightly tapped her staff on the ground, and instantly, a wall of water rose before her. As the wall grew taller, it transformed in the blink of an eye into a seven- or eight-meter-tall tidal wave, sweeping directly toward the charging Shield Warrior and Berserker.
Because the wave covered such a wide area, it blocked all the backline attacks as well, making it an attack that was both offense and defense.
The charging Shield Warrior and Berserker, caught too close to evade, were swallowed by the tidal wave.
After the wave passed, the Berserker, who had nearly 40,000 HP, was instantly turned into a stream of white light, dropping an equipment piece. The quicker-reacting Shield Warrior survived by activating his Shield Wall skill and having the True Word Shield absorb damage, but his HP was reduced to less than a third.
"What kind of magic attack power does she have?" The magic-class players in the backline clicked their tongues at the still-living Shield Warrior.
Clearly, the tidal wave was just a channeling spell. A channeling spell's power was equivalent to a small-scale AoE spell. With their magic attack power, a first-tier small-scale AoE spell would be lucky to take out a third of a Shield Warrior's HP, let alone one protected by Shield Wall and a True Word Shield.
"He's not dead?" Water Color Rose was slightly surprised. "Looks like your magic resistance is pretty high."
Her water wave was a first-tier inheritance skill, but after being amplified by the Sea Dragon Scepter in his hand, its destructive power was equivalent to a first-tier large-scale annihilation spell.
"Her magic damage is way too high — switch to ranged attacks!" The surviving Shield Warrior glanced at Water Color Rose and hastily changed tactics.
The others all nodded in agreement. Against a magic-class player with that level of magic attack power, a Shield Warrior who wasn't particularly agile was nothing more than a sitting duck — taking one out would be child's play.
However, before the Shield Warrior could even retreat, his feet had been bound by dark thorns at some point, leaving him completely immobilized.
