After spreading it out,
"This..." Shi Feng looked at the displayed information in surprise.
At this point, the treasure map only showed information about the Dragon's Grand Tomb — nothing else. Not even a map was displayed.
"Guild Leader, is there something wrong with this treasure map?" Bai Qingxue noticed Shi Feng's surprised expression and couldn't help but ask curiously.
"There is a bit of a problem," Shi Feng said with a smile. "This treasure map actually requires an appraisal skill at the Master level to view."
When he had tried to force-view it, the system had prompted that Master-level appraisal was required.
"Master level?" Bai Qingxue was momentarily stunned.
Although there were quite a few appraisal shops in the NPC cities of the Divine Realm, the highest level of appraiser available was Advanced at best. Master-level appraisers were virtually nonexistent.
As for players, many had learned the appraisal skill, and the major guilds had cultivated quite a few practitioners. However, the improvement of appraisal skill was painfully slow — it required appraising large quantities of high-grade and top-grade weapons and equipment. As a result, only a handful of Advanced appraisers had been cultivated so far.
As for reaching the Master level...
Becoming a Master-level practitioner in any non-combat profession in the Divine Realm was extraordinarily difficult.
But what truly surprised Shi Feng wasn't the Master-level appraisal requirement. In his previous life, he had never heard that the treasure maps for the three great treasures of the Dragon's Grand Tomb required appraisal to decipher — they could be viewed directly.
Yet the treasure map obtained by the FFF Adventuring Party required appraisal to unlock.
"Could it be that it's not one of the three great treasures I know about?" Shi Feng grew curious and couldn't help but use Eye of Observation to examine it.
Eye of Observation was comparable to Master-level appraisal, and in some aspects even surpassed it.
Time ticked by second after second.
A full twenty seconds passed before the hidden information on the treasure map began to appear, piece by piece.
"No way!" Shi Feng stared at the revealed information in shock.
The treasure map
Because this wasn't a treasure map at all...
It was the Dragon's Grand Tomb's hidden secret realm — the Dragon's Nest!
Its value far exceeded any mere treasure. A treasure could only be claimed once, but a secret realm could be entered infinitely. Every entry yielded treasures, much like the Sea Dragon Secret Realm in the Terminal Ocean, which could be entered once every so often.
How ridiculous that Yan Tianxing had treated a secret realm map as a treasure map.
Then again, it was understandable. Secret realms were exceedingly rare, while treasure maps for various locations were far more common. Receiving a diagram that only showed information about the Dragon's Grand Tomb and immediately assuming it was a treasure map was a perfectly natural reaction.
"Guild Leader, could this be fake?" Seeing Shi Feng's shocked expression, Bai Qingxue considered a possibility.
The Divine Realm held many treasures, but it also held many fake treasure maps. Not every treasure map one obtained was genuine — the vast majority were counterfeits.
"It is indeed fake," Shi Feng nodded.
"I knew Yan Tianxing wouldn't be that generous." Bai Qingxue sighed, looking somewhat disappointed.
If they could obtain the treasure of the Dragon's Grand Tomb, it would be a tremendous boost to the guild — it might even elevate an entire adventuring party to a whole new tier. How could any reasonable person be willing to gamble with something like that?
