First-floor lobby of the Candlelight Trading Company.
Thanks to the stamina secret potion introduced by the Candlelight Trading Company, it had not only become the most visited place in White River City but also a holy land for Life-Profession players.
Every day, hordes of Life-Profession players came to the Candlelight Trading Company to take the entrance assessment.
Not for any other reason—simply because the Candlelight Trading Company housed the highest number of advanced Life-Profession classes in the entire Star Moon Kingdom, and on top of that, it possessed a Beginner Meditation Room.
In the past, people had assumed the Beginner Meditation Room was nothing special. But after some digging, they discovered that the Candlelight Trading Company had quietly amassed a large contingent of advanced Life-Profession players. It was hard to believe this had nothing to do with the Meditation Room. How else could one explain the sheer number of advanced Life-Profession players at the Candlelight Trading Company?
By now, the status of Life-Profession players was rising day by day. Advanced ones in particular enjoyed perks and benefits within guilds that made everyone's eyes green with envy. As long as you put in the effort, your income was by no means lower than that of top combat players. Living a life free of want was a piece of cake, and if you reached Master rank, luxury cars and mansions were no longer a dream.
Even a single Master-rank player's word could prompt major guilds to roll out the red carpet.
To become a Master of a Life-Profession, joining the Candlelight Trading Company was undoubtedly the best choice.
"So this is the Candlelight Trading Company? Quite a nice place, actually."
While a massive crowd of free Life-Profession players lined up at the staircase on the first-floor lobby waiting for their assessments, a female player in a dark gray robe glanced around and offered a lukewarm comment.
That female player was Miao Wuyin, whom Shi Feng had invited to work here.
Her single remark immediately drew the attention of many Life-Profession players, who turned to look one after another.
But they quickly noticed that the woman before them bore an advanced Alchemy insignia, and her level was shockingly high—42, a level many expert players failed to reach.
Even so, the Life-Profession players in line shot her disdainful looks.
"You must be from another kingdom. If you want to join the Candlelight Trading Company, you have to get in line for the assessment," said an advanced Enchanter standing nearby.
"To join here? Even advanced-class players have to take the assessment?" Miao Wuyin looked at the advanced Enchanter in the queue, surprised.
Advanced Life-Profession players were hot commodities in every major guild, each treated like a treasure.
All they had to say was they wanted in—forget assessments, who knew how many people would come out to welcome them.
"Of course. There are at least five advanced Life-Profession players ahead of me in line," the advanced Enchanter shot back with an eye-roll. "This is the Candlelight Trading Company, not some ordinary guild. I heard that several advanced Life-Profession players failed the assessment before and had to retake it three times before they were finally accepted."
"That's impossible!" Miao Wuyin exclaimed, feeling that the advanced Enchanter in front of her was definitely a plant. "Those are advanced Life-Profession players!"
If even advanced Life-Profession players had to go through multiple attempts, what hope did Beginner and Intermediate players have?
"It's true. This is already my second attempt. The Candlelight Trading Company's assessments are different from other guilds—they impose different requirements depending on your level, and you can only join once you meet those requirements. The one advantage for advanced Life-Profession players is that they don't have to become probationary members. Pass the assessment and you're an official member right away," the advanced Enchanter explained.
Miao Wuyin fell silent after hearing this.
She simply couldn't understand what all those advanced Life-Profession players who came here were thinking.
