The black-clad Ranger stared at
If Shi Feng were merely a top-tier expert, then having transformed into an Advanced Demon, he could have put up at least some resistance by joining forces with the others — once the Burst Skill's duration expired, they'd have a chance to turn the tables.
But the Shi Feng standing before him was clearly no mere top-tier expert. Forget joining forces with the others — even if every single one of them ganged up, it would be a suicide charge, because the gap in their stats was simply too vast.
Even as an Advanced Demon, he hadn't been able to follow that sword light.
After all, an Advanced Demon's physique was far superior to a Basic Demon's — a 20% boost to physical stats and a 20% boost to primary attributes — and yet it still wasn't enough to keep up.
"We're retreating!"
The black-clad Ranger spread his wings and launched into the air, simultaneously issuing the retreat order through party chat.
"But what about Boss Manqiang's side?" the Elementalist called Scorpio pressed urgently. "Boss Manqiang told us not to let anyone onto the
"Idiot!" The black-clad Ranger shot Scorpio a cold glance, wasting no further breath, and flew off directly.
They were demons now, and the death penalty was severe. Charging into a fight they clearly couldn't win was nothing short of stupidity.
Besides, if they actually wanted to stop Shi Feng's group from reaching the Demon Island, the sea was the worst place to do it. They should have been waiting on the island itself. As demons, they had naturally high magic resistance — especially shadow resistance — so the corrosion of shadow force on the island posed no threat to them. Other players, however, were a different story.
More importantly, the Demon Island was blanketed in gray mist, and the deeper one ventured, the thicker the fog became, reducing visibility to almost nothing. But they were demons — the fog had no effect on them on the island. Finding an opportunity to deal with Shi Feng's group while their Burst
"Now's a bit late to be thinking about leaving!"
Shi Feng gave them no chance. He activated the Ring of Wind's Air Flight, leaving an afterimage behind, and in the blink of an eye appeared before the two of them. The holy sword Thunder Slayer came crashing down.
Blaze Thunderstorm!
Thunder and fire descended, and the entire sheet of ice collapsed, instantly evaporating into steam.
"He got away?" Shi Feng looked down at the single demon corpse floating on the sea — the Elementalist's. The black-clad Ranger had already vanished without a trace. Still, he wasn't particularly surprised.
Advanced Demons weren't like Basic Demons. Not only were their base stats and physiques significantly higher, they had also learned some formidable demon skills — including one with extraordinary escape capability.
Dark Teleport!
This skill could randomly teleport the user to any point within a 3,000-yard radius, required no casting time, and had a six-hour cooldown.
Thanks to this skill, killing an Advanced Demon was extremely difficult for players.
Though the black-clad Ranger had escaped, the other players fleeing toward the Demon Island were not Advanced Demons. Shi Feng charged after them without a word, cutting down the retreating demon players one after another.
They were all airborne, but while Shi Feng's Air Flight allowed free movement in midair, the demons could only glide — the difference in speed was astronomical.
As for the attacks the demon players launched, Shi Feng dodged them effortlessly at his incredible speed, even using the openings to close the distance. Every player he caught fell within a few swings of his sword, without exception.
There had been over eighty Basic Demon players fleeing, but in the end, fewer than thirty members of the Seven Sins Flower actually made it onto the Demon Island…
And once they reached the island, Shi Feng did not pursue any further.
The Demon Island was crawling with monsters above level 70, and a single misstep could draw their attention. Forget killing the Seven Sins Flower members — he could easily end up losing his own life.
Let alone the fact that he had barely set foot on the island's edge before spotting over a dozen Shadow Maniacs.
