Inside the Candlelight Trading Company's special forging room, more than twenty advanced blacksmiths and advanced engineers stood packed together.
These advanced blacksmiths and advanced engineers had all been summoned by Youyu Weixiao on Shi Feng's orders.
As advanced life-skill players, any one of them would be highly valued in any guild and hold considerable status within it.
Yet the moment everyone stepped into the room, they fell completely silent. Every pair of eyes was locked on a single aged, antiquated blueprint laid out on the table, unable to look away.
"Guild Master, this is…" Youyu Weixiao rubbed her eyes, unable to believe what she was seeing.
An Advanced Transport Carriage!
For ordinary players, this wouldn't mean much, but for her as the trading company's manager, it was enormously significant.
The value of an Advanced Transport Carriage far surpassed that of a Bronze-rank vehicle.
An Advanced Transport Carriage could carry a large number of players while also transporting massive quantities of cargo — infinitely superior to the ordinary carriages sold by NPCs on the market.
In the Divine Realm, far too many important items couldn't be placed in a player's inventory bag and had to be carried by hand, especially when transporting NPC goods that couldn't be stowed in inventory.
The carriages sold or rented by NPCs on the market could only carry a handful of players, and even a hard-won Bronze-rank carriage could only transport five people. While it could store a decent number of items in its inventory space, it could only carry ten items that didn't fit in inventory bags. Most critically, those carriages were restricted to the trade routes between NPC towns, which severely limited their usefulness.
A transport carriage was entirely different — because it was crafted by players, it faced no such road restrictions.
Even an ordinary transport carriage could carry ten players, and its inventory space far exceeded that of an NPC Bronze-rank carriage. It could transport up to thirty items that didn't fit in inventory bags, and its speed was noticeably faster as well.
Items that couldn't be placed in inventory bags were generally quite valuable, whether they were NPC commissions or goods being transported from one location to another for resale. Transporting these items between towns was one of the most reliable ways to earn profit margins — unlike items that could fit in inventory bags, which might come in enormous quantities but yielded razor-thin profits, and which required crossing national borders and facing extreme danger to make any real money.
If Advanced Transport Carriages were available on the market, merchant players would scramble over each other to buy them.
And that was nothing compared to an Advanced Transport Carriage.
It could carry up to twenty players, its inventory space went without saying — completely outclassing a Bronze-rank carriage — it could transport sixty non-inventory items, and its top speed could rival an Iron-rank mount. It was an absolute joy to ride.
If the Candlelight Trading Company could equip itself with Advanced Transport Carriages, even without selling a single product, they could make a fortune purely from cargo transport.
How could Youyu Weixiao not be thrilled?
"You've all seen the blueprint," Shi Feng said, smiling at the stunned faces around him. "I want you to start crafting as soon as possible. As for the key materials, I'll find a way to get them. For now, go ahead and craft everything you can with what we have."
An Advanced Transport Carriage was excellent, but its required crafting materials were extraordinarily rare.
Even for the current Candlelight Trading Company, most of the materials were manageable — the only problem was the primary material, Azure Crow Wood. It was incredibly difficult to obtain. Even Shi Feng could only think of a few places where it was produced, and those locations grew progressively higher in level. The lowest-level one was Ghost Cry Ridge, a level 60 map — but it was a neutral zone, essentially forbidden territory for players at their current stage.
Only players who had advanced to a second-tier Class typically went there to level up and earn money.
But for the sake of the Advanced Transport Carriage, Shi Feng intended to make the trip.
