"He's dead!"
"He actually beat the Undead Commander to a pulp — is he even human?"
Everyone stared at the Undead Commander, now burned to ash, unable to believe what they had just witnessed.
The Undead Commander had been terrifyingly strong. Inside its domain, every person had been bombarded by ice pillars. Though those ice pillars hadn't hit as hard or as fast as when they were aimed at Shi Feng, for the rest of them, a single misstep meant death. They had no spare attention to direct at the Undead Commander — they had been pouring everything they had just into staying alive.
If Shi Feng hadn't kept attacking the Undead Commander the entire time, they wouldn't have survived. Not a chance.
"A High-Tier Title." Shi Feng sheathed his twin swords and looked at the system notification on his display, a jolt running through him.
He had originally planned to hold some of his strength in reserve for the trials ahead, but he never could have guessed that the Undead Commander knew a Tier 3 forbidden spell. If that thing had actually gotten it off, even he would have been powerless to do anything about it.
He'd had no choice but to unleash his double burst, and for quite a while he would be stuck in a weakened state.
Still, looking at it now, killing the Undead Commander with his own hands had more than paid off.
Titles in the Divine Realm were numerous, and different titles granted different effects.
They were also ranked in quality, generally divided into four tiers: Ordinary, High-Tier, Epic, and Legendary. Most players struggled just to obtain a single Ordinary title, and only a handful ever managed it — yet even that brought considerable benefits.
Take the Demon Hunter title, for example: it granted noble-class reception in a great many cities.
Or the Junior Tyrant title, which could boost combat power by a meaningful margin.
As for the benefits a High-Tier Title provided, those went without saying — but obtaining one was orders of magnitude harder than an Ordinary title.
Major guilds were willing to trade Epic-grade items just for a lead on a High-Tier Title.
The reason was simple: the boost a High-Tier Title gave a player was enormous.
In the previous life, one of the Divine Realm's Ten Great Alchemy Grandmasters — Miao Wuyin — had only risen to that unshakable position because she had obtained a High-Tier Title called Alchemy Inheritor.
Beyond crafting professions, a great many players had only managed to complete their previously impossible Tier 4 class advancement quests thanks to High-Tier Titles.
Back when he'd been stuck at the peak of Tier 3, he himself had been constantly searching for leads on a High-Tier Title. He'd never found one, of course.
After all, High-Tier Titles were every bit as rare as Legendary item fragments.
And now he'd actually obtained one — how could he not be shocked?
Shi Feng quickly pulled up the details of the new title.
Spirit Slayer. High-Tier Title. Proof of having annihilated the undead. Exerts tremendous suppression against dark creatures within a 200-yard radius, instilling fear in them and preventing weaker ones from approaching. Reduces the base attributes of dark creatures within a 100-yard radius by 20%. Grants four-star treatment from the Adventurer's Association.
"Now that's an incredible title." After reading through the description, Shi Feng clicked his tongue in admiration. "No wonder the big guilds' top players in my previous life were so desperate to get their hands on a High-Tier Title."
The suppression over dark creatures was impressive enough, but the status it granted was what truly blew him away.
