Seeing Han Li fly into a rage, Li Feiyu didn't get upset in the slightest, still wearing a look of complete nonchalance.
He tilted his head, stuck his pinky finger into his ear, and started earnestly cleaning it out, wearing an expression that said *bring it on — whatever comes, I'll handle it.* After Han Li had vented his frustration, seeing that the man's face was thick as a city wall and he seemed not to have heard a single word, he calmed down on his own, sensing that there was something else going on.
"You're no fool, and you're not some arrogant blowhard. Doing something this reckless — there must be some reason behind it," Han Li asked, now having regained his composure.
Li Feiyu saw how quickly his anger had dissipated and how he'd returned to his usual rationality. He felt a slight twinge of disappointment, but put on a pitiful, wronged expression and cried out in protest: "Heavens! I'm being completely wronged here!"
"I was trying to explain just now, but you didn't give me a chance to open my mouth!"
"And now you're blaming me on top of that — I really can't win no matter what!"
This theatrical, whiny manner of protest was so over-the-top, so transparently fake that anyone could see through it, giving off an overwhelming vibe of needing a good smack.
Han Li could barely hold back the urge to march up and kick him flat on his face.
"Quit fooling around and just explain yourself," Han Li said.
"With you acting like such a scoundrel — aren't you afraid your adoring junior disciples might catch you looking this slovenly? If they saw you like this, the cool, deadly killer image you've worked so hard to build up would come crashing down completely." Han Li gave him no quarter, delivering a bit of sharp sarcasm.
He really wasn't in the mood for their usual banter. If this matter wasn't handled properly, both of them would be in enormous trouble.
Li Feiyu seemed to understand what was going through Han Li's mind, so he stopped pushing back against the jabs. Instead, he sauntered over to the bundle, bent down, casually picked up a manual, and stood back up.
Once he was upright again, a mysterious gleam on his face, he handed the book to Han Li with a half-smile and gestured with his eyes for him to lift the cover and take a look.
Han Li took the thin manual from him and gave him a puzzled look.
He had no idea what scheme Li Feiyu was cooking up now.
"Open it up. You'll understand everything," Li Feiyu said in a coaxing tone, clearly eager to enjoy the show.
"Why don't you just tell me straight instead of being all mysterious about it?"
Despite the reluctance written all over his face, Han Li still opened the book.
The moment he flipped the cover, revealing the manual's first page, there in clear black characters on white paper were the four bold words: **Blink Sword Manual**.
"Hmm!" Han Li was mildly surprised.
The very first book Li Feiyu had casually picked up happened to be exactly what he was looking for. That caught him off guard.
