If the Ancestors' true bodies really descend upon us, and we're nowhere near our respective clans to hold things together, that would be an absolute catastrophe." Mo Jianli's eyes flickered as he spoke with open worry.

"Brother Mo makes a fair point. We ought to be more cautious, and the Wood Clan truly can't afford to delay any longer. The two of us need to return to our clans as quickly as possible." Patriarch Ao Xiao pondered for a good while before grudgingly conceding to Mo Jianli's reasoning.

"Senior Mo, Senior Ao, this junior actually believes the probability of all three Ancestors descending in their true bodies is not terribly high. Even if it does happen, it would likely only be one or two of them at most," Han Li interjected from the side.

"Oh? Fellow Daoist Han, do you perhaps know something? Come to think of it, you've just returned from the Demon Realm — you should have quite a thorough understanding of the situation over there." Mo Jianli started upon hearing this, but immediately remembered something, and his eyes lit up.

A hint of surprise also flashed across Patriarch Ao Xiao's face.

"I wonder — how much do the two seniors know about the Great Calamity of the Demon Realm?" Han Li hesitated briefly before posing another question.

"The Great Calamity of the Demon Realm? Before the demons invaded the Spirit World, I did pick up some rumors about it. But anything more concrete, I never had time to gather." Patriarch Ao Xiao squinted slightly as he replied.

"That's right. When I infiltrated the Demon Realm back then, I also heard a thing or two from a Demon Venerable. But the truly important details seemed to be something only those Sacred Ancestors of the demon race possessed. Could it be that Fellow Daoist Han has learned the specifics of this Great Calamity during his recent trip into the Demon Realm?" Mo Jianli asked, greatly pleased.

"This junior did indeed happen upon some information regarding the Great Calamity while inside the Demon Realm. Have the two seniors ever heard the name 'Mother Miet Bug'?" Han Li offered a modest preamble before his expression turned grave.

"Mother Miet Bug? What's that? I've genuinely never heard of it. Daoist Ao Xiao, have you?" Mo Jianli thought for a moment, then shook his head in puzzlement.

"It rings a faint bell — I seem to recall hearing the name a very long time ago. But the details have faded with the years, and I can't quite remember." Patriarch Ao Xiao furrowed his brow, clearly straining to recall.

"It's no surprise that you two seniors are unfamiliar with the Mother Miet Bug. This fearsome creature was an ancient demonic being that was personally sealed by an Immortal who descended from the Immortal World in the primordial era. Very little of its legend has survived to the present day." Han Li smiled and replied.

"Now that you mention it, this old ancestor has finally remembered — the Mother Miet Bug, could it be that legendary primordial demonic insect said to possess the power to devour an entire realm? Has this creature appeared once more? Is the Great Calamity of the Demon Realm connected to it?" Patriarch Ao Xiao's memories finally returned, but his face blanched in an instant.

"The power to devour an entire realm? Brother Ao Xiao, what manner of demonic insect could be that terrifying? Wouldn't that make it even more fearsome than a True Spirit? Tell me everything." Mo Jianli drew a sharp breath, his expression shifting as well.

"A True Spirit would be nothing compared to this thing. In the primordial age, no fewer than seven or eight powerful True Spirits were devoured by this demonic insect. I read about its legend in an ancient text during my travels across other continents, long before I reached the Mahayana stage. According to the records, the Mother Miet Bug was born from..."

Though Patriarch Ao Xiao's expression wavered between light and shadow, his narration remained steady as he recounted everything he knew about the Mother Miet Bug. The account was largely the same as what Han Li had previously heard from Zi Ling.

The only difference was that according to the ancient text, after the Mother Miet Bug fought a battle against an Immortal from the upper realm, it vanished without a trace — the text made no mention whatsoever of any sealing.

Mo Jianli's face grew even more grim after listening.

"The Great Calamity of the Demon Realm is indeed connected to this demonic insect. It appears to have awakened not long ago and is currently trying to break free from the seal. Han Li replied solemnly.

"If this primordial demonic insect fully awakens, the ones in trouble won't be the Demon Realm alone — our Spirit World could very well be devoured by it as well. This is a monumental problem indeed." Patriarch Ao Xiao murmured, sinking deep into thought.
