It was none other than the incomplete Profound Heavenly blade.
The golden avatar gave the remnant blade a slight shake in its hand, and a burst of blinding purple light erupted forth before vanishing in a flash.
Only in the golden avatar's hands could this blade unleash the terrifying power capable of drawing upon the laws of heaven and earth.
As for the spirit body, Han Li slapped the storage bracelet on his wrist, and four or five treasures flew out in succession, shooting toward the spirit body and disappearing in an instant.
Each of these treasures was distinctly unusual in form — one was a jade pendant, another a banner, and there was even a ring-shaped artifact.
After a brief hesitation, Han Li solemnly produced a painting scroll and also flung it toward the spirit body.
The spirit body simply opened its mouth expressionlessly and swallowed everything in one gulp. Then, together with the golden avatar, each formed a series of hand seals before blurring and vanishing on either side.
Once Han Li had finished, his body spun in place, and hundreds of sword formation flags, array discs, and other deployment instruments shot out from his person. With multicolored light dancing through the sky, he set up five or six other temporary formations near the sword array in a single breath.
When his body finally came to rest and he stood upright once more, he swept both sleeves toward the sky.
Hundreds of talismans shot out from one sleeve, vanishing into the high air in a flash before disappearing from sight.
From the other sleeve, thirteen balls of purple light flew forth. Growing with the wind, they transformed into thirteen fierce, armored insects several feet in size, circling and hovering above Han Li's head.
Finally, he suddenly produced a fist-sized white crystal orb from his hand and spat a mouthful of vital essence blood onto it.
The essence blood transformed into a mist of blood that pounced onto the crystal orb and vanished into it in a flash.
The orb immediately took on a hazy, blood-red hue.
Han Li tossed the orb before him, his expression grave as he murmured an incantation, his ten fingers tapping the orb in rapid succession like the spokes of a turning wheel.
Streams of multicolored spell seals surged into the orb like a tide, causing it to radiate an eerie spiritual glow throughout.
After the blood-colored light within the orb shifted and flickered for a time, it finally coalesced into an unknown blood-red rune. Han Li let out a long breath before sweeping his sleeve over the orb.
A flash of azure-green radiance passed, and the crystal orb was promptly collected away.
After completing all this, Han Li pondered for a moment, then suddenly extended one hand to stroke a spot on his arm where a mysterious pattern was engraved. When no response came, he couldn't help but let out a bitter laugh.
Without further hesitation, he tilted his head back and let out a long, piercing howl. Golden light blazed from his body's surface, and he transformed into a colossal golden-furred giant ape over a hundred zhang tall.
The moment the giant ape's howl subsided, it crossed its arms and stood at the center of the sword array, gazing coldly toward the distant horizon without making any further move.
"Very well. You finally know to—"
Before even half a short while had passed, a thunderous rumble echoed from the horizon where the giant ape gazed.
A flash of blood-colored light, and a small blood-red boat emerged. With a single sway, it transformed into a streak of blood that shot toward them at tremendous speed.
In the span of a few breaths, the blood light receded and the blood streak appeared in the sky near Han Li, restoring its original form as the small boat.
Three identical youths stood aboard the boat, sweeping their gazes over the scene with varying expressions.
The leading youth wore a cold, sneering look that seemed dripping with mockery, while the two youths behind him were expressionless, their gazes sharp as blades.
"Hmph, human brat, you can run rather fast. But now that you've stopped, do you intend to struggle a bit before death? Do you truly believe that a single sword array and a handful of temporary formations can keep you alive?" The leading youth yawned as he spoke.
"That remains to be seen — one has to try first. You don't expect me to simply surrender, do you?" The giant ape rumbled with laughter, both enormous hands grasping at empty air. Immediately, the space above the boat rippled, and two colossal hands — one black, one white, both crystalline and translucent — materialized.
One radiated ten thousand beams of grey light, the other was wreathed entirely in five-colored cold flame. All ten fingers spread wide, they bore down with ferocious momentum.
"Hmph. Overestimating yourself."
Seeing this, the leading youth spoke with undisputed arrogance. He formed a hand seal with one hand, and black qi churned behind him. From within it, two grey tentacles shot forth, lashing straight toward the two colossal hands with a sharp flick.
These tentacles were of some unknown substance — the instant they pierced forward like iron lances and struck the giant hands, both hands burst apart like balloons, dissolving into scattered motes of spiritual light that vanished into nothing.
However, the Proton Magnetic Astral Light and the five-colored cold flame contained within the two hands were also grand divine powers of the highest order. Instead of dissipating, they surged upward in a rolling tide.
With a flash of radiance, one tentacle was frozen into a crystalline pillar of ice, while the other was enveloped in grey light. After a frantic burst of flickering radiance, it shattered inch by inch.
"Oh? Proton Magnetic Astral Light — so it's this particular divine power. That's quite rare indeed."
Much of the leading youth's ease drained away in an instant, and he called out the name of the Proton Magnetic Astral Light with a note of surprise.
Han Li witnessed this scene with a slight furrow of his brows, but the giant ape he had become bared its fangs in a grim, cold smile and replied icily: "You truly think that with nothing but an avatar body, you can force me to flee in panic? I was simply looking to put some distance between myself and your subordinates."
"Oh? So confident, are you — perhaps because of the two lurking in the shadows?!" A cold sneer suddenly spread across the leading youth's face.
