"What would you exchange for it? You wouldn't teach me the refining method out of the goodness of your heart, would you?"
"I want you to find a way to break the Void Sky Cauldron's assimilation of me. Then, before you pass on or ascend, shelter me for a time! Additionally, although I already possess eighth-level cultivation, because I've been trapped inside the Void Sky Cauldron, I have never undergone the Transformation Tribulation. I'm afraid I'll need to borrow your strength to survive it safely. Relying on my own power alone would be somewhat dangerous." The Heavenly Profound Beast was equally blunt, rattling off several demands at once.
"That's all?"
"If I were to raise any further conditions, I suspect you'd start contemplating killing me, wouldn't you, friend?" The Heavenly Profound Beast let out a raspy chuckle.
"Fine. If those are the only terms, Han can certainly agree. However, the matter of breaking the Void Sky Cauldron's seal on you must wait until before I pass on or when I'm preparing to ascend. You have no objections to that, I trust?"
"None at all. This course of action is absolutely the wisest choice for you. There was never any need for us to fight to the death in the first place. And to show my sincerity, I shall first pass on this Silver Tadpole Script to you." The Heavenly Profound Beast's heart eased considerably, and it burst into hearty laughter.
"That would be even better."
But almost immediately after, he seemed to think of something. He raised his hand and slapped his waist, and a green pouch instantly appeared in his grasp.
It was Patriarch
After a moment, he shook the pouch, and a stream of brilliant green light surged from its opening, spitting out several jade slips of different colors.
The beast, for its part, was perceptive enough not to interrupt him during this time.
After the time it took to eat a meal,
He had not found a single thing in those jade slips related to the golden talisman in his hand.
Could it be that this golden talisman wasn't created by this person either, and had simply been obtained by chance?
Then his expression shifted, as though something else had suddenly come to mind. He abruptly lowered his head, and his spiritual sense plunged back into the storage bag, immediately locking onto a specific item.
The green storage pouch flashed once more and ejected another object.
It was a yellow wooden box roughly half a foot in size, its surface still sealed with a restriction talisman.
The wooden box slowly opened to reveal what lay inside.
It was a milky-white jade tablet the size of a fist, its surface covered in faintly shimmering silver runes — exactly the Silver Tadpole Script, dense and ubiquitous. The runes were infinitesimally small, yet when swept with spiritual sense, they appeared perfectly clear.
However, the tablet was obviously incomplete — only half of it remained. It was a damaged remnant.
All five fingers blazed with brilliant green light simultaneously.
The surrounding space emitted a deep hum, like a thunderclap on a clear day. The silver light shuddered, its escape halted in its tracks, and the jade tablet reverted to its original form.
