"Coming," Yang Kai shook his head and floated down slowly from the void.
The massive demon beast was pouncing from the distance, its fangs gleaming viciously, a foul stench washing over them. Zhu Yingyue screamed in terror, tears welling up in her eyes.

Ji Meng experienced the same thing. She hadn't even reacted before she was lifted by Yang Kai.
Moving like lightning, they fled, with the hideous Ice Crystal Wolf in fierce pursuit. However, the distance gradually widened. Ji Meng stole a glance and urged, "Faster! It's catching up!"
Yang Kai snorted coldly. "Easy for you to say. This is already my fastest speed."
Ji Meng fell silent. Watching the Ice Crystal Wolf fall further behind, she couldn't help but sigh in relief.
After a while, the Ice Crystal Wolf finally gave up the chase. It stopped in its tracks and let out a long howl toward the sky, the sound filled with reluctance and anger.
In a remote part of the vast snowy mountains, Yang Kai stood idly, watching the two disheveled women busy themselves.
They seemed experienced in living in snowy terrain. In no time, they had dug a pit in the snowdrift. It was spacious inside and sturdy outside.
Soon, a snow cave was complete.
Ji Meng glanced back at Yang Kai warily and said weakly, "We need to change clothes and apply some healing medicine. Stay out here, don't come in, and don't peek. Otherwise, I'll gouge your eyes out!"
"Hey, you're basically my people now. What's the harm in a few glances?" Yang Kai teased.
"You..." Ji Meng was furious, gritting her teeth for a moment before angrily declaring, "I don't care, but you can't touch Yingyue!"
With that, the two women crawled into the snow cave one after another. Soon, rustling sounds came from inside, indicating they were stripping off their blood-soaked clothes.
Yang Kai looked stunned. He suddenly realized the other party didn't seem to have any intention of going back on their word.
Would they really repay him with themselves? Yang Kai's face fell. If she clung to him, that would be trouble.
He really was foolish. Why had he proposed such a self-trapping condition?
He waited for about half an hour before Ji Meng's voice called out from inside, "You can come in now."
Yang Kai chuckled and walked to the snow cave entrance, bending down to enter.
Inside was indeed spacious and didn't feel damp or cold. Instead, compared to the environment outside, the snow cave felt warm.
Both women had finished their business and changed into clean clothes, making Yang Kai's eyes light up.
